Hi guys,
I have pcm1 in my Nov '99 c4.
The problems started a few weeks back...I pressed the CD button, and got the message 'No CD changer', didn't think much of it thinking the cds must have condensation on them etc..
A week later I started the car and the radio came on, and then after a few seconds there is no sound. Since then, whenever I start the car after a few days there is sound for 5 seconds and then nothing.
The radio seems to have 'crashed' as I can't change frequencies but I can after holding buttons down for a while change stations...still no sound. Everything else still works...trip computer / sat nav (no sound) / phone....any suggestions or help appreciated.
thanks,
Adit

Well, it was pilot error on my part - I had ALL of the CDs upside down in the magazine. A little embarrassing.
lol. That definetly isn't my problem....thanks anyway.

2004 Cayenne Turbo --
I've got the factory 6 cd changer in the back of the vehicle. CDs occasionally show up in the display - sometimes they show, sometimes they are gone and only 1 CD is 'seen' by the reader.
i've tried different forms of CDs (both factory as well as my customized music CDs) and same problems.
i have not tried to clean the CD player (like you do with a home one) - perhaps that does the trick?
anyone else experiencing this?
Just last week, my 6 CD changer stopped being recognized completely by the Head Unit (Factory PCM). I'm bringing my Beast to the dealer to trouble shoot this problem - stay tuned.
Hey, any update from the dealer on this? My cd changer has stopped being recognised too!
Sunroof trim
in 996 Series Part Number Requests
Posted
Hi all,
I have a UK '99 C4 Tip with Sunroof and have noticed that when I 'tilt' the sunroof there is a little plastic flap which rises alittle..some sort of small deflector? well, I'm 100% certain there used to be a piece of rubber trim on it, and think it has fallen behind inside the headliner.
I have looked at the PET and cannot figure out what the part number would be for the rubber trim? or would I need to order the whole plastic part? I did a search for sunroof and a few other combinations and couldn't find anything...Any help appreciated.
thanks,
Adit.
