Well, I finally had the right front bearing changed and still the same noise. Before this I changed the tires(time for new tires) and front brake pads(worn). These changes did not affect the noise either, same noise after as before. Could it be a bent rim?
I will continue troublshooting the right front strut and control arm. Any other suggestions.
thanks,
steve
Hi there, My gf's 01' boxster s is making the same humming noise towards the front passenger side around the battery area. Well we've never had this problem before until she crashed her car and wrecked the front. we brought it back to our mechanic 2 times and they thought it was the radiator fan grinding on something but that wasn't the case. It makes a humming noise on and off when it's at idle and when the AC is on. we're still troubleshooting the problem.

I apologize in advance if this has been posted but I can't find it.
I just got a pair of the Porsche Sport Exhaust tips for the Turbo, and I am trying to figure out how to install them.
I assume it is a matter of releasing a ring clamp which I see at the base of the stock tips (at the exit tube off the muffler) and just twisting the old ones off and putting the new ones one, and of course retightening the ring clamp.
If anyone has done this and I assume many have, is this correct and what is the torque specs on the ring clamp which holds the tips on?
Thanks in advance.
I just got a pair of sports exhaust tips myself, and I was wondering whether you had to remove the rear bumper to install the ring clamp?

Hello Loren, I believe this is the mk1 aero wing but will this aero wing fit on a 2002 Carrera coupe? I have never seen this particular wing on a 2002-2004 model.
