  1. Do you guys remember the S-Torx bit is T-What?
  2. Did a try today. Still that small hesitation at low RPM... Will look at the MAF sensor. Is there any way I can clean it? With what product? Tks!
  3. 1. Removed the air filter and look in the box. Some dust and leaf parts. Did use a small vaccum cleaner to suck that out. 2. Removed the complete throttle body and clean it. Black deposit aroung the butterfly damper. Now sparkling new. Take about 45 minutes in/out. Removing the air duct was very easy compare to what I did read on the forum. Reinstalling the duct on the throttle body was more tough but using an air dryer to heat the rubber duct was the clue. Took a minute under the dryer and it slip on the throttle body like a charm. Will make a try tomorrow as today is a rainy one and let you know about the small hesitation at low RPM when accelerating. Thierry
  4. In case drain is partly clog, how do I manage to clean it without removing all parts from front trunk?

  6. Guys; 2003 Boxster 2.7 This problem was there before & after I change the spark plugs. Exemple: When driving at 60 mph in 5th speed if I touch the gas to accelerate a little, I can feel a one and only very tiny hesitation from the engine. It happen in any gear. Any clue?
  7. Guys; First time this year I start my A/C and it smell bad. This car is a used one and since I buy it, it's the first time I use the A/C. Is there any way I can access the coil and clean it or maybe is there a miracle product in spray for that? 2003 Boxster 2.7 Tks!
  8. Hi guys; When doing other job with the PST2 on my Boxster 2.7 (2003), my friend found that my airbag light was on because of a bad passenger buckle. He reset it, but told me that it will light again. Is there a DIY sheet available to make the buckle change by myself if I buy the original parts from Sunset? Thierry
  9. Just an update. Job is done. We did use the PST2 and change country from USA to Canada and all imperial data's including the HVAC in deg. F. readout goes metric. Thank you all. Thierry

  11. This manual process is for older that 2003. Mine is a 2003 so the HVAC toggle don't work.
  12. I'll see a friend tomorrow night that have a PST2 and would like to know if with that tool we can switch the HVAC temperature readout from F to C? If yes where in in the DME we have to go? Tks all!
  13. Did the plug change out. Need some time , correct tools and a little workout to play around all pipes and other stuff. I'm the owner of that car since less that 1 year, so I don't know when that oil on the block appear. It's only on driver side. Did use a citrus type degreaser to remove that oily stuff you see and motor block is now sparkling new. Will take a close look later in the season and see if oil re-appear. Thanks all! Thierry

  15. Guys. Today is spark plug change out. First time for me doing that. 2003 2.7 Boxster. I did unscrew and remove a coil. I can see the spark plug at the end of the tunnel, but where is that spark plug tube?? I did buy a replacement one with orings, but the new one can't enter the hole? What's wrong with me? Please look at the picture. Tks!

  17. Hi guys. New to Porsche since July 2008, but last summer was rainy, car have been winterised betwwen mid october and mid April. So this year will be a real first one for me. Question: Is this normal that on a parking lot at the grocery store, when turning the steering it looks much harder to do it that on the interstate at 70 MPH? Looks like I have less assitance on the parking lot that on a road... Personally I would think the opposite, turning the steering with one finger on the parking lot but having to keep my both hands on the steering on the interstate because of a harder sensation!   18. Did my oil change last october rising left back side of the car to unscrew oil plug & filter and lower it to help oil to exit motor. There is a great discount this week for a pair of plastic ramps. Question: If I put the rear of the car on ramps, does oil will exit motor with the same efficiency that if I level the car?   20. That is a "post" or some people call it a brake bolt. Some other names too. It prevents the pad from moving forward under braking. It is held into the caliper with a roll spring. Can this post touch the rotor?
  21. 2003 Boxster 2.7. My remote range looks to be very short (5 ft). I can lock/unlock my NIssan Murano from inside my house without having to go outside like I does with the Boxster. Any idea if that range can be upgraded? Remote battery is new from yesterday. Thanks! Thierry
