The Bose 'box' behind the seats houses two reverse mounted speakers (facing the carpet) then the rear of the speaker cones are 'ported' to the outside world.
Thanks fast boy. Cheers

Hi, thanks for looking.
Could somone with a bose system tell me if the speakers behind the rear seats are a speakers or a sub.

Been to the stealer today, seems it the leather shrinking on the dash, and it becoming more common on older 996`s ,mine is a 1999.
So looks like i need a good trimmer now, not new speakers.

Hi,
New here.
Only just collected my 996 last week.
I have noticed the front dash speakers dont cover the edge of the leather, looks as if either the leather has shrunk or wrong speakers have been fitted, I have looked at the speakers and they have a 996 part number on the back and are in the correct sides.
The only thing i noticed was on the narrow end by the metal mounting bracked it looks as if some plastic has been cut away to make them fit.
Any ideas, now ive noticed it its driving me mad looking at it.
Cheers
Ade
