  1. If you can get the engine compartment open you can attach a battery or jump battery to you positive jump start terminal (see owners manual for location) and it will give you enough power to pop your hood. :D

There are a plethora of threads here if you do a search on "emergency latch release cable". The engine compartment release cable is MUCH easier to access than the one under the wheel well for the hood (provided it is located where it is supposed to be  >)

    Good luck

thank you, I will try it.

  2. Hello Experts,

Sorry to bother but I have a problem with my C2 1999. I have been hearing some electric tick tock under the passenger seat, when the car is running until a few minutes after the car is turned off, now the power on the car is gone and the hood release is blocked, so I cannot access the hood into the battery. Is there any way I can unlock the hood release lever, so I can get the hood open?

    thank you,

    Hector :)

  3. If you do search here you will find a lot of information and opinions on air filters. The K & N is fine as long as it's not over-oiled. Excess oil is what fouls the MAF. Best bet is to let it sit out overnight (or longer) on some newspaper and let the excess oil absorb in the paper before installing. The filter and cold air kit will not give you any HP gains. You will get a throatier sound though.

That being said if you want to go for the sound just get the cold air tube and stay with the stock paper filter. That way you will completely avoid any MAF issues.

    Good luck!

    Phillipj

Thank you for your response. I will get only the air tube then. Thanks again.
