  1. I think a throttle cleaning is definitely good to the performance. So, how long should I clean it? Once a year? or every time I do the air filter change? Will too much cleaning damage any seal by using carb cleaner?

Tech question: Should I clean it with engine off or running? Just spray the cleaner into the throttle or use a lint cloth to wipe the throttle? I have never done that before.

    Thanks in advance.

 Don't have the engine running or you'll suck the cloth into the engine ! Use both the spray and a cloth ...

    Thanks

  3. You need the metal part and the valet key head as shown in the middle of the picture. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=7222

The valet key head is much cheaper than a remote control key head. You need the key head because it has a chip inside that permits the car to start. If you stick just the metal part of the key in the ignition and turn it, it will not start the car.

Unlike a remote key head a valet key head does not have a paper tag. But a valet key head still has to be programed or it will not start the car.

Thanks, TP. That answers my question. :P

  4. Hi:

Yesterday I sit in the car with engine off, door closed, key removed. After the interior light was off, a da-da-da sound came out from driver side dash speaker. The sound is very low and non-stop unless I pressed the lock bouton on the key. When the car is locked, the noise is gone. But after unlocking the car, no noise came out if the door is not opened. But after the door is opened and the interior light goes off, the sound came back again. I don't know if anybody has the same experience? Except annoying, is it a sign of leaking battery of something else?

    Thanks in advance.

  5. can any boxster owner recommender the front head light ,which type is good  ,i just got the euro H-7 replacement bulb ,haven't put it in yet ,any suggestion

I have tried aftermarket "white" bulb and Sylvania's bulb. For a good brightness, Sylvania Silverstar definitely is better. Aftermarket "HID-look" bulb only looks like HID but less brightness. It is up to you.
