  1. I love my '01 996, but the '02+ nose and headlights are unquestionably sleeker and more attractive to me. My present headlights are yellowing and the laminate eroding anyway, so I figure I might replace the headlights and the nose with the newer style of both.

I'll probably buy the components on eBay and have someone other than Hoehn do the installation. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks.

im a buyer if you sell these headlights

  2. This is the control unit. There is a 4 wire cable that goes to each headlight. There is a connector on each cable. In the picture the connectors are in the middle because they have not yet been put on. When you select the high beams the control unit moves the xenon low beam up a few degrees to fill in with the halogen high beam.

The headlights will work fine without the control unit.

thank s alot ! that will help me !

  3. If you still have a "check engine" light I believe Autozone will read out the codes for you for free.

What appeared to be O2 sensors in my car ended up being CAT converter with a big loss of power at the top end.

there s no ratle, the car response is good at all rpm range, the variocames kick s, it look like a 996 tiptronic in good shape run s arond 14.2 sec for 1/4 mile. so im not that far.
