  1. :D 996GT2 .....OK say I believe it really is a C2 [ which I do.... I trust you! ] what a job youv'e done on her.... if you saw that on the road your looking at a Turbo...... I don't know what would give it away to look at Excellent! I saw the Turbo side Scoops on a web store in the UK....they were not cheap but how did you cut them in like that.....and when you put the Jigsaw up against the car were you not a little concerned what you might cut through.....Whatever the Case it looks the Business! I hear what you are saying about buying the car damaged so the money saved could be used to create the Beast......She 'appears' to be All good stuff!

  2. Benjamin, I'm with Porsche of Persia..... That car looks excellent .....Superb! The wheels are Outrageous....keep us posted when the Techart skirts and rear skirts go on you have a real Head turner there......I can see Porsche of Persia thinking.........." wonder if I can buy that kit in Downtown Bahrain".....as you do! You say that wing is a GTM wing and different to my GT2M Wing..... I'm off to his website to have a look see..........certainly flows nicley with the lines of the car and I'll search precision porsche of Cali for the rear skirts .............

  3. Post a pic or two Benjamin when you get the Skirts fitted....did you say you were getting the Rear skirts aswell ....in that case you'll be ahead of me...I can't find a Supplier at present after being let down ....but Misha says his Pal does a 'Copy' that he could supply me with so I may catch you up soon....were are you getting the rear one from? I seem to be treating myself and the House at the moment.............All the best with that Project! mypic.jpg

  4. I Remeber the Sandstorms well .......didn't witness many but you could see them on the horizon as a reddish wall then as they closed in you couldn't see out of the windows for the lashing sand....I can now imagine that playing a bit of Havoc with the paintwork....No Rust though! but my main memories was the Superb weather

[when you were acclimatised to it] and the Brilliantly clear nights showing every star and the Milky Way you could even see the Satellites moving across the sky Happy Days.......................... B)

  5. :clapping: Hi Porshe of Persia.......'Nice Car' I bet you don't see one of those on every Street corner.....I lived in Aden during the sixties as a School kid..... my Dad being in the Forces....don't remember seeing too many Porches but every Taxi driver had a Mercedes and a Rolex watch it would seem!.....we moan about the rain you must 'rue' the Sand on your Polished Porsche! PA261401.jpg

  6. http://myworld.ebay.com/ebaymotors/xtrememotorcars/ Your right the Techart Type II are around $1995 for the genuine PU parts I got mine at this link on e-bay..........Not Genuine....and finished in GRP that required little or no finishing....but 'sprayed , laquered and fitted are pretty darn good but it's a body shop 'Jobby'......... not DIY I would'nt have thought.....[The lower lip is the genuine article in PU that would have shattered getting up my drive it is that easy to fit I 'Peel it off to get done the drive and just Clip it back on on the road it is still immaculate and totaly unmarked! ]....Post a pic of your Motor......................Sorry Porsche of Persia my eyesight's not what it was on that little picture looks good to me tho! 7. Just thought I'd post a note of caution on www.shophyperformance .com I was recommending phililpj to this site as they had the Techart type II rear skirts $100 cheaper than I had seen elswhere at $495 I paid my money by Barclaycard and waited........and waited....... many unanswered e-mails asking for a 'tracking number' I later contacted Barclaycard who where excellent and have today credited my account in full......................Brilliant service!

Has anyone else used them and been dissapointed...............I will wait several weeks now before reordering them from another Company in case they are delayed for some unknown reason [Obviosly I would advise Barclays if they do turn up .....but I doubt it!]

They have wasted my time and my plans have stalled! but at least I got my money back eh! P1181646.jpg

She's still looking pretty good though!

  8. Very Nice indeed Soutahc4s I remember doing you a reply on my Misha GT2M Wing on my C4S in Guards red. It will be Techart Type II sills next and the Aerokit front spoiler and she'll be right! I was looking at Philipj's Motor also in Glacier white Superb! This Pic shows mine a 'work in progress!' It was on the trolley jack I had just 'snapped' the Aerokit front spoiler in place of the rather poor looking black rubber standard one....... and my excuse was you need that to 'balance' the Misha rear wing which I have to say looks Awesome ...........It's the Techart Type II rear skirts and the twin pipes left to do for me I'll be posting pic's as these are done

    Your car looks ACE!

  9. Thanks Porsche of Persia 'somewhere in the Barhain Area' This Club reaches were others can't!..........Thats a side view of her and I will stick up the 'rear view also...........Think you will agree the Techart Type II rear skirts will finish the look and the addition of the twin pipe 'Tips'.........what next I wonder ......possibley a Pioneer AVIC as the car is not SAT NAV

What model do you have?.... looking at the pic on your profile it looks like the Turbo.........VAST!

  10. Hi All, I have over time being showing the odd picture of the work on my C4S I have shown the Misha GT2M Rear Wing.[the harness has been changed to the Fixed wing' version... 2 minute jobby!] The Techart Type II side Skirts and now the Lower 'Aerokit' lip spoiler.....Doddle to fit by the way, removing the two push in 'plastic screws' I just 'peeled' the old one off and the new one just sort of jumped into place... Mind this is the PU one not the GRP.......I'd say 15-20mins.......and looking good! I made from Aluminium 1/8" plate 'skid plates' to go underneath, mounted with dome headed bolts. The next Project is the Techart Type II 2 X Rear Side skirts that Marry up to the styling lines on the Side Skirts[see the picture of the Turbo Silver one] What do you Think.......

  11. Hi all I have a post showing the fitment of a misha gt2m rear spoiler and techart type2 side skirts and the new lower lip spoiler part number 996.505.986.01 [see picture] as a matter of interest what standard car had this item fitted?

I received from porsche a pack of 20 captive nuts and 20 large headed self tappers [and as it happens the fixed wing wiring harness]

aside from that I am thinking of fitting this part myself.....[the spoiler is in the bodyshop as I write]the question is how do I remove the standard black rubber lip fitted to my 996 c4s 2002.........What will I find when I jack her up [i've heard it's 'clipped' on but don't fancy just riving at it....Are there any hidden fixings and how do you get this off? Do you just pull it off starting from one side for example.

I then picture a lip on the bottom of the remaining bumper where I will 'push on' the captive nuts after I have marked the bumper with a 'chinagraph pencil' in line with the holes in this new spoiler.

Your detailed advice appreciated thenks in advance........ Ken

  12. Hi I have just purchased an Aerokit 'Stylee' Porsche Part number 996.505.986.01 Thought I would stick you a quick pic of that one. Mine has the standard Black one on my 2002 C4S at present and this one apparently should only be used with a rear wing I have the Misha GT2M fixed wing on the back....[and Techart Type 2 side skirts] The other thing is if you live near lot's of speed humps then this may not be a good idea...............!

  13. Thanks for That!...........the Skirts came from

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsche-986...1QQcmdZViewItem

I paid $495 which is pretty cheap Styled [and no doubt moulded from the Techart Originals which were around $1999, note the 'TA' in the description]

My body shop new they would be a 'fiddle on' with to fit but he didn't want to 'drill' the body so he 'stuck' them on using the same tecnqnique as to fit a Windshield....he put a primer on first then the Sika flex, he pre prepared and was patient to get them right on the car the 'finnish' was excellent by the way...........I have a sloping dive so I am busy making 'skid' plates out of Aluminium for the lower lip Spoiler [another e-bay acquisition....but this was a 'one only'] you can get those in GRP at $350...... from the same site Extreme Autos but they wouldn't make it up the Drive 'once' so had to source a PU one that is vey flexible

The Tyres on those 19" wheels are 25 series profile I have had some low profiles but these take the biscuit and they have lowered the car All the best with your Motor!

  14. Hi All.....progress on my Carrera 4S I have fitted the Misha GT2M rear wing..........Techart Type 2 Side Skirts and have purchased from an e-bay Auction the Lower lip Spoiler [Porsche Part Number 996.505.986.01] I am currently making Aluminium 'Skid Plates' mounted with 'Dome Headed' Nuts. In the New Year I will have it sprayed and fitted and will post a picture or two then. She's in a nice Colour with Superb Wheels Going to look Outrageous What do you think?

  15. Hi I hope from the photo [just one of 200 pics sent on a CD with the wing] you can see the Air Vent just clips straight back to the original spot and the Fan re attaches to it's original mounting so the engine lid, hinges, and catch all remain unaltered it's an easy if slightly 'fiddly' fit but like you I think it looks 'Awesome' as you Americans might say [just kidding!] I've sent off again to the states for the Techart type 2 side skirts again they will be colour coded at the same paint shop and in this case fitted by them. They will use pop rivets along the underside and then 'primer' and 'sika flex 255' [same as fitting a windshield] along the top side] I will post some pics when these arrive and are fitted..... Think they will look Outrageous!

I highly recommend the Misha Wing It turns heads that car.....it gives it Huge 'prescence' BUY ONE

I have recommended it on the UK porsche Club....but not to anyone who lives too close to me I want to be 'Unique'

  16. Hi I have just recieved my Misha GT2M wing way over the pond, here in the UK. It came very well packaged 'Un-damaged' and a very good moulding. I ordered it and paid by wire transfer [a little risky but I was right to trust him] It was shiped on Monday the 15 Oct 07 and received here on my door step on the Wednesday. I was given a Tracking number for FedEx annd was able to 'track' it's progress. It comes with a CD within 15 min's of 'scanning' that I was in the Garage and the Electric one was removed. The wing went to paint on the Thursday. The Guy saying "these modern mouldings are getting very good....this is one of the best I've seen"

Got it back a day or two ago sprayed laqoured and a perfect colour match. and an hour or so later she was fitted and it looks OUTRAGEOUS!

I can Highly Recommend them ....you will need a small length wiring harness Porsche Part Number 996-612-070-51 if you trim off the wires to the old electrics a 'warning light ' will come on at 75 mph as the computer is trying to raise the old spoiler...........this harness is for the fixed wing cars. .....Jobs jobbed!
