  1. Hi Ive got a 1998 996 c2 carrera, which ran like a dream, right up until 2 hours ago ! Got onto the motorway, everything was fine, stepped on the accelerator to get that flying feeling ! But instead all i got was an incredibly loud roar from the engine ? Transmission is fine, exhausts are fine (more air coming out of one than the other mind), bit down on power, and sounds like an amplified harley davidson ! I assume an electrical fault on one side of the engine? Is this feasible ? Is it common ? And will it cost me an arm and a leg to fix ?!?!?! Can anyone help ? David
