  1. I am back...I hooked up the UView Airlift to check for leaks. As it started to pull the gauge got to 15psi and the then there was a release and fluid can out of the tube. I clamped the overflow hose and the same thing occurred. Are there other hose to clamp to see if there are leaks? Also when I use it to replace the fluid are there hoses that need to be clamped off? Sorry I am so dense but this one is getting to me. THanks for all responses.

  2. I live in Las Vegas...hot hot hot in summer. My 2000 6speed never moves above 180 (by the gauge) even w/AC. I cant help but wonder if Porsche tested their cars in desert climates? If they did the car should not overheat or run too hot. It would seem to me that if a car is running too hot then something in the system is not working as designed. I really dont get the whole discussion.

  3. 996.641.103.03.70C is for a 98-99 C2 6 speed.

It may work and it may not. Porsche had a cluster change in MY2000 - so some MY200 cars have a later (MY2001) cluster and some have a MY200 cluster.

Do you know the part number on your current cluster?

I dont because I would like to get a new cluster before I remove the old one. Also, do I need the milage "flashed" to a new console? Wil a dealer do it or do I need NH SPeedo or someone like that? THanks

  4. I have a gauge cluster that has developed a snowflake like burst in the middle of the clock/oil level section. I have found a cluster for sale with part number 996-641-223-07 70C. I looked up my 2000 model and it appears that it needs a 996 641 103 03 70C. Is this correct or are the clusters interchangeable? Also can the oil level/clock be replaced separately? Thanks in advance.

    I halve a 2000 996 with manual trans.
