  1. Have an o6 Cayenne S did a search on replacing the plugs and colis on the site but did not find any DIY's. Anyone know the tork settings for the plugs?
  2. I foung the updated documents on the UK mobridge site. Took a a bunch of picks for a DIY will post later this week. All telephone options work except it is not syncing with the phone book and SMS. I am using a blackberry storm2. Will try to find additonal info to add.
  3. Question - I am hooking this up right now (ABT2010) and either I am looking at old instructions from the mobridge site (attached page 9) or I am missing something. According to the instructions I should have a power source for the 4 pins on the green adapter. No power adapter came in the box to snap in. the instructions for the power appear to be just for BMW. I have a switch with red black and blue ends for the "toggle" on off. I am guessing that is a newer design? No wire taps or instructions on hooking it up were provided. What color wires should be tapped to what? Anyone know? Thanks in advance
  4. Thanks for the opinions! I have not driven a GT3 but it is my favorite Porsche which is why I am torn. I love the idea of the street legal race car. I see what you mean with the low miles on them as most I have seen in my price range have significantly less than a 997. I do have concerns about driving the GT3 in the snow. Would love to get a 4x4 beater for the winter but I have no room. I guess I could have the wife drive me in our CayenneS :) At some point I would like to track - how does the GT3 wear ?
  5. I am looking to get either a 04/05 GT3 or an 07/08 S coupe. I would love a new but that is the extent of my wallet :) . Question is - which is a better car with these parameters in mind: 1) It will be my daily driver 2) I will be driving it in the winter with winter tires 3) I like to do most of the maintainence myself "Poshness" dosen't matter - I like handling and firm suspension Thoughts?
  6. thank you! did some searching online and didn't find a whole lot of vendors in US selling this. Who/where do you recommend purchasing from?
  7. I have Verizon and don't have a SIM card. Is there a recommended kit/upgrade/conversion to allow phone integration via bluetooth?
  8. I have an 06 S Titanium Ed. The wife pulled it out of the garage the other day and scraped the whole left right bumper against the brick. So I figure since I have to replace it might as well get a nicer looking bumper from a tuner. Started searching around and can find lots of pictures but no place to buy them from. Most are front spoilers and not a full bumper. Anyone point me in the right direction to where I can buy one? I want a larger intake grill like the new GTS model but not as big as the turbo. Thanks!
  9. I need the P21 for the rear fog which looks like it is the backup light also? Fanastic! Thanks for the chart!
  10. Looked at Advanced and AutoZone problem is the one bulb that looks like exact match has different pins. The rear fog bulb has an offset pin while the others that looked like a match are not.
  11. I am having trouble finding replacement bulbs for the rear fog lights ( 06 Cayenne S ). Does anyone know the comp part number ? Porsche dealer wants $$ for them. Thanks
  12. Gotcha - thanks I appreciate the response. Pagid is an OEM supplier to Porsche, I will definetly contact them about it.
  13. They fit in the caliper perfectly other than the silver head is right up on the caliper - they are 355 REAR pads the pic is of them on the rear caliper. I did not put front pads on the rear... That said is it still a significant issue? The pad material is aligned with the rotor properly.
  14. Shoot - is there an issue with running the 355's? Should I replace them with the 330's?
  15. Thanks for the quick response. Checked the pins all looks good - if the rear fog lamp bulb is out ( took out to replace ) could that cause it to fault due to voltage?
  16. I have 18ZR 350 mm front brakes does that mean the rear are 355 or 330? I bought the Pagid 355's and they fit good, I do not notice any issues with the braking, but I am concerned about how close the metal heads are - resting on the caliper. Is this OK ? see picture below:
  17. I am getting the following fault code from Durametric - anyone know what this is for? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1333 Rear left door control module No signal / Communication
  18. Depends on the part - some are made for Porsche some are best to get only OEM parts. It is really a case by case basis. Break pads you can get Pagid which are Porsche OEM, and Zimmerman rotors which are Porsche OEM also check http://www.pap-parts.com or http://www.pelicanparts.com/.
  19. Trying to get this done so I can drive it tomorrow - any help is greatly appreciated!
  20. This is my first break job - I am in the process of changing the pads and rotors. I have followed the excellent instructions for replacing the pads but have done multiple searches for the rotors and found only this http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...tor+replacement which is quite different on the Cayenne. To remove the rotor I understand I need a torx 50 for the bolt and it is 200 torq ( see below ). I need to remove the caliper to put the new rotor on which has 2 bolts on the back side . That leaves the brake line going to the caliper - do I need to take it off? Or should I use the string method as indicated in the referenced link? What are the torque settings for it and the caliper bolts? Thank you!
  21. I had a blow out on the NJ turn pike about 140 miles from home. I put the spare on and drove it all the way home at under 50 mph on the back roads. The manual states it should be driven on for no more than 50 miles. Dealer did not know anything about wether it should be replaced or not and stuck it back in. So is it a one time spare ? If you drive on it for more than the 50 miles is it no good anymore? Thanks!
  22. I need to rotate my wheels - does anyone know the torq spec on the lugs for an 06 Cayenne S? Thank you.
  23. I have approx 35k on my 06 Cayenne S and yesterday and today it started very rough. Hooked up the Durametric tonight and confirmed 3 fault code misfires on cylinders 4, 6, 7. Drove it up the hill and it registered 3 mis-fires on cylinder 7. Did some searching and seems like a number of people have had misfires around 30 to 40k with different year Cayennes. So questions: 1) When do the 02 sensors typically go bad - could this be it? 2) Same for MAF sensor ? 3) I am not familar with the bank locations but I am guessing same bank? 4) Saw someone say to change the oil as it could be contaminated? 5) Is this an easy DIY or should I take it to the dealer? 6) Could it simply be the gas - too much ethanol? Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
