P0600 236 CAN timeout Tiptronic - open circuit

Potential causes:

- Wiring harness

- Tiptronic control module not connected

- Tiptronic control module faulty

What makes me nervous is that there was no fault prior to the flash. Also, why would tiptronic control module cause a bad idle?

After putting 200 miles on the 996tt in a long daily routine, I came home to find my flash software ready for install. As soon as I finished loading the flash and started the car I get PSM/ABS warning messages. The idle is awful (was perfect), and the garage reaks of gasoline to the point where my eyes hurt while sitting in the car., It is running wayyy rich. Feeling dangerous (anxious), I took the car out to see if it boosted anyway. I only booster .4 bar.

Not 30 minutes earlier I was running .8 bar up to 120 mph on the interstate but as soon as the flash loaded, I was dead in the water. I didn't have any fault codes so I checked the usual suspects... cleaned the MAF, checked all the boost hoses (didnt remove bumper to check top of intercooler), removed battery for 30 minutes, checked battery charge -100%.

It is notable that at mid-day today, the car died at an intersection coming off a spirited acceleration into traffic. I have a 3" exhause with no cats on a tip and I am told this is semi-normal.

Tonight I let the car cool down and started it up again. After 10 minutes of idle, I finally got a CEL code P0600 CAN Time-out - Signal Implausible..

I have never heard of this from anyone here or either of the other sites.. any suggestions at all???

I reloaded the flash with no change at all.

Where can I buy a PCM 1? Google results with NOTHING! Help please!

I think even google wants to prevent you from wasting money...Google avic d1 if you want an in dash nav that performs well at a very moderate price

I have the same spoiler and the same problem. What I do is lift the rear trunk lever and stick something under it while I go the back of the car. That way, I don't get ridiculed that my over priced spoiler doesnt come with shocks that have enough power to lift it.

Guys, my car is at the stealership for a 30k service. On the way over there, the CEL came on, no problem I thought, I am going to the service center... Anyway, the reading shows a bad o2 sensor, but they cannot repair/replace or confirm the error because I have a custom exhaust... headers, high flow cats, mufflers.

They recommend replacing all parts to OEM and run it stock to get rid of the code. I recommended they check in to the local psych ward. Since they cannot guarantee any results, my dilema is, should I just pay them to replace the o2s and risk the light coming back on? Should I shell out the money to replace the cats that they think are bad and replace o2s?

I don't want to restrict my system, as it is full exhaust, intake, and programmed. I also don't want to spend 3k dollars for a meaningless CEL. Otherwise, I can clear it myself and ignore it for as long as possible, but what is the downfall of running with bad o2 sensors.

I need to pick it up tomorrow or I need to tell them to repair it, i will be trying the other boards as well.
