You should have them connected to the front door control modules like the TSB shows, otherwise they flicker on a 2008.
Yeah, handy if you have the TSB... I am not a contributing member so I didn't have access to it. No matter it was worked out correctly in the end.

I do not know if it is the case on your car but on the Gen 1 Cayenne's - if your car did not have door access lighting as standard - then the door lighting option had to be turned on with a PIWIS tester/programmer.Ok I had mine installed but found they flicker. I have given my car to my trusted car audio and electronics guys who now say the wiring matches up with the info on this thread. So I'm at a loss at to what's going on, unless it's because my car is '08 spec, which sounds unlikely to me.My guys say a correct wiring diagram would be useful.
Any advice?
Thanks
The coding needs to be set to menu item "Door warning light/entry light On".
Thanks Loren. Got back today and found they'd fixed the issue by re-wiring them to the door lighting instead of the internal lights. Seems the original install which ran off the interior lights caused both flickering and delayed shut off, since they'd stay on for a few secs in concert with the interior lite.
Oh well, all good. It will just the list time I get my friends Audi/VW dealership workshop to try installing an electrical based accessory like that! So much for a quick install done in a couple of hours while I was at lunch!
