my switch was just repaired on a 02 as well. if the reverse light is out and mirror doesn't tilt down, most likely its the switch.

I really can't recommend running Seafoam through a 996 engine -- but it is your engine...
Thanks for the reply, Loren.
Why do you believe seafoam is not good through a 996 engine?
-
Seriously, no one can point to me where the brake booster vacuum line is located on a 996?

Could someone please point to me Where the vacuum line is located to suck in seafoam? any problem getting the check engine line during the process? any more detail instructions?
Programming Remote Key to Seat Memory?
in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)
Posted
This happened to me.
Clearing the memory or setting new memory on the 2nd key will not work.
This is what I did
-Lock and Unlock the car the Original Key
-Go in, set seat in position, store the Seat Position
-Lock and Unlock the car with the 2nd key
-Go in, set seat in position, store the seat Position
That fixed the problem. You need play around with the original key and storing it to get the 2nd key work correctly. I'm not sure why, but it worked.
