  1. Some 997s have been getting a bit of a misfire under the following conditions:

    Car driven to full op temp then sits for anywhere between 1/2 to 3 hours and upon restart when blipping the throttle before engaging a gear (1st or reverse) to pull away the engine has a mis/hiccup @ about +/-1500 rpms. After the engine runs for about a minute or two the mis goes away. Once the engine is put under load the mis/hiccup also goes away. The car does not exhibit the issue full hot or full cold but only as described above.

    So...what is it, what causes it to happen and has anyone had it corrected?

    BTW, I have tried different fuels and there is no improvement and the issue occurs about 50%-70% of the time.

    Just a guess...oil seal over spark plug needs replaced oils seaps just enough intto plug shaft coil to cause a degraded spark (miss) once oil is burned it stops...if this is it it will continue to get a little worse...look for oil under car side carriage.
