That was really easy. I disconnected a plug from "auto pulling" module with help of skilled craftsman , connected again - and it started to work!

I'm cosidering purchasing an additional "Cayenne turbo" rear emblem and having it painted red or black so it stands out a little more. I have a silver car and the silver emblems get lost in the sea of silver. I really liked the red S on my C4S.
Has anyone removed the OEM emblems? Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
I did it. The original emblem fixed by adhesive tape. I removed emblem by using :)) expired credit card. It does not leave scratches.
Good luck!

The PCM retrofit installation instructions are in a TSB - and they are available here to Contributing Members. One more time - You need to find a shop or Porsche dealer(OPC) with a PIWIS and ask them to program it for you.Dear Loren! probably PCM retrofit manual will help Ermil 77, at least fix trouble with buttons? Do you have this info on your site?
Alex.
Hi
I looked through the TSB on PCM installation. I found there a lot of useful information. According to TSB I connected A8 and C14 sockets on PCM connector. Now all buttons are working.
Thanks Alex and Loren!

OK, thanks

No, a PST2 will not work on a 2008 Cayenne - only a PIWIS tester.
In the US a PIWIS tester is $18,000 (for the first year of the lease).
Does it means that my PCM will never work and the only chance is to purchase a PIWIS?
The other problem is that buttons on PCM are inactive. Is it malfunction or this is also the matter of coding?

You can only program your PCM (and any other MOST network components) with a PIWIS tester.
Hi Loren
Can I program(code) PCM by using PST2. If yes, then how?
I bought used PCM therefore dealer refused to program this device! (unbelievable  )
Therefore I plan to find PST2 and try to reprogram PCM.

Does PST2 work properly with cayenne 08 models?

OK ;) , I will never buy anything for my car from e-bay. I tried to save some money, but now I guess that was not the best way.

So it is possible to swap out the CDR23 HU with a PCM2.1 monitor and not install the nav part? Merely need to have the dealer reprogram the PCM? Is the swap out plug N play in the back?
yes, connectors on the back side are same as in CDR.

Only if you can find a shop with a PIWIS tester. Is there any other way of PCM activation than visiting the dealer.thanks Loren.
If I will not be able to find shop with PIWIS, may I post PCM unit for reprogramming. Could you advise me anyone.

Hi
I replaced oem CD receiver by PCM head unit. Radio and CD changer is working properly, but PCM buttons do not work and after 3-5 sec error message appears on monitor ( no navigation, amplifier detected). Could you tell me how this message can be removed.
Thank you all in advance.
When you did the install, did you install the DVD nav unit as well, or just the head unit? Which unit, the PCM 2.1? I am thinking about doing the same thing, as I do not need Nav, and don't want to go through the hassle of retrofitting everything. Any info you have would be appreciated, pics, instructions, etc.
My guess is that you need to go to your dealer and have him program the PCM to let it know there is no Nav unit.
Yes I only installed a head unit PCM without nav module. Don't you know how to program PCM? My dealer a far from my place. Is there any other way of PCM activation than visiting the dealer.
