I put a C4S bumper on my 03 C2. I didn't cut anything. I just put black electric tape over the part of the metal bumper that was showing in the grill and it looks great 3 years later. Try test fitting the bumper with the tape and see if it looks good enough for you. I didn't incur any extra expense for a new bumper or any extra effort cutting the existing one.

well we test fitted it before cutting and there was no other way. the C2 metal bumper is much longer than the 2 radiator colling ducts and the metal touches the grill and there was a lot of fitting gaps.

so we ended up cutting it, but it was worth it.

Hi,

I just replaced my 2003 C2 front bumper to a Turbo front bumper. The bumper was a straight bolt on as far as all screws and side markers, but we had to cut the front aluminum “crash beam” down to the 2 bolts that hold it to the body.

I realize the safety compromise, was there another way to do it? Did I need to replace the front beam to a Turbo beam?

did the front bumper fit on the existing bumper attachments? or u needed to buy a kit to fit it?

My wheels are 19x10 and I guess spacers will not work in this case since the outer lip also rubs.

But anyone has an idea about the OEM springs; will it help to go back to OEM?

It will increase my ride by 1"

Check your wheel offsets.

19x10 offset 36

I believe your offset is wrong. For the rears, I think the correct offset is 65.

the site shows only 19x11 for the 996 with 68 offset, I looked at the Cayman 19x10 offset and its 36.

so what do i need to do? is there a way to change the offset?

will OEM springs make the ride high enough to avoid the rubbing?

BTW, the rubbing is in the inside of the wheels and very little on the outside.

Check your wheel offsets.

Hi,

I have a 2003 996 C2, I bought it with Eibach springs 7213.002 (couldn’t fins the exact lowering rate but I think its 1” F/R).

The car has 19 champion rims and I just installed Michelin Pilot sports 295/30/19 in the rear and now every time I hit a small bump or entering a drive way the tires rub.

I had Dunlops 285/30/19 before and never had this issue.

My option are to go back to OEM springs, will it resolve the rubbing? I don't mid the ride height as long as its not rubbing.

Are there any other solutions out there?

is it that the linkage between the cable and the shifter is broken? maybe you need an Evo billet shift linkage?

what are the benifits of the EVO Shift Link, i only use the car as a daily driver. do i need it with the B&M short shifter?
