  1. Thanks for the reply,

I think its just an extended crank time.

I didn't notice any problem in drivability yet. No warning light has turned on.

    Thank you.

    James

Does the engine crank over fast enough or just has an extended crank time? No other drivability problems or check engine light, past problems or after market parts? If you're concerned about the fuel pump have it tested for residual pressure, operating pressure and volume.

  2. Hi,

My 08 CS of 23000 mile has slow start symptom.

The symptom started few weeks ago.

Time to fire the engine takes longer time than before and it varies from 3 to 6 seconds.

My dealer recommended to switch the high pressure fuel pump system and quoted me very high cost.

Since I moved out of the country, global warranty of 2 years has passed already.

Is switching the fuel pump system the only solution?

    Can't it be repaired?

    Thanks.

    James

  3. Hi Frank,

    Thank you for your kindness.

When turned on, it shows white screen for only a half second and turns to blue.

I think it is trying to show Porsche logo but before the logo is displayed both screens turn to blue.

Both monitors are exactly same and synchronized.

Pushing the menu button, menus such as choosing AV input, changing monitor contrast and brightness are displayed on that blue screen.

I tried with different DVD titles.

Great info. I'll contact that company.

    Thank you again.

  4. Hello,

My 08 CS has Porsche rear entertainment system.

Recently it stopped show DVD video but audio is functioning. I suspect my kid hit the unit on passenger side that time.

I can hear the sound of DVD title with original wireless headphone.

Other function through Aux RCA cable is working normal both in audio and video. I checked with Camcorder.

My dealer checked it and said main control module in passenger side needs exchange with new and cost wound be insanely high.

Sadly, warranty of my car is over.

Will there be a way to fix the unit instead of exchange the whole unit on passenger side?

I also consider connect aftermarket DVD player through AUX to entertainment system if it can't be repaired.

    Thank you in advance.

    James

  5. Hi Loren,

Can I have part numbers for what needs to be replaced to remove the factory trailer hitch on my 08 CS?

Can I have price for them?

Is there a difference for an aluminum rear bumber btw 1st and 2nd gen. Cayenne?

I think lower rear plastic valence(?) which is now divided in the center for a hitch also should be replaced with an undivided one.

    TIA.

    James.

  6. Picked up a set of clear marker lights from bumperplugs. On the old lenses, the bulb would install near center, on the new one, they now install to the rear of the lens. Is there a reason for the, ie: hide the orange bulb? Or should i drill out the center hole and fill the other?

    Hi, youngcr.

I drilled out the front hole as you mentioned.

It looks much better than highlighting the wheel hood.

Someone recommended new amber bulbs for clear marker but I use factory original bulbs and they still look nice.

Not sure whether the reason of different opinion is the newly designed slender side marker of my 08 CS.

    James.

  7. Loren,

Is a set of porsche crest embossed front headrest available for 08 Cayenne S in sand beige color?

    What is the current price?

    Thanks.
