  1. Hi,

using the aircon C6? Code my cooling system is constantly around 93C when fully warmed up. Lowest constant has been around 92C and the hottest 105C

I live in the Tropics and these temperatures are with an ambient spread of around 22-38C

Oil temperarture is ideal when in a band of around 90-96C

That's a good point Doug; at the moment, I don't use my aircon or heating all that much. The spring and summer in warsaw are quite warm; the temp goes upto 40 deg. celsius. I'll have to wait and see how the same will affect the cooling system.

The irritating bit is the fact that the Porsche Technician can't tell what the norm was in relation to the average cooling temp.

Thanks very much indeed for your feedback.

    cheers,

    raj

  2. Hi All,

I would appreciate some feedback on the following query.

I recently replaced my radiator at the Porsche Workshop ( financially painful experience) and now my Porsche (Boxster -986) appears to be running a little hotter. The temp. gauge is slightly above the "80" mark i.e. about 40-45% of the whole meter.

Bearing in mind that I'm using it during the peak of winter here in Warsaw, Poland, I'm a little concerned about how affect the summer will have on the cooling system. The Porsche mechanic is going to check it again but he can't tell me what the average running temp. is for a 986 Boxster (Wanker!!).

So my question is this: What is the average running temp. shown on the gauge for your Boxsters during summer and winter?

    Cheers,

    Raj
