  1. recently took some pictures of my car. i have a few questions on the parts and i will make threads later, but for now just wanted to show off the beauty for a bit. hope you guys enjoy :) camera is an old nikon d70, i really need to upgrade, its starting to develop some electric problems
  2. are they just an alignment shop? any other services? specialize in certain cars?
  3. it's a very distinct sound i was hoping others would know what i'm talking about. you the whine made by sequential transmissions/dog gears? the ones you dont have to clutch in to change gears. its an "eeeeeeeeee" whining sound thats the sound i get in 1st gear, not that loud, like i said equal to the my exhaust i'll make a vid clip if u guys need
  4. how loud should the gear whine be on our cars? i have a 996 c2 with PSE and sometimes (especially first gear driving off) the gear whine is louder than my exhaust. is this normal? how do i check transmission fluid? thanks in advance
  5. any of you guys out there hit the road with your porsches? i'm talking 500+ miles on the highway at a time, just wondering if any of you actually do it wiht such a nice car, also how do you prepare for such a journey in such a car?
  6. i've got the gt3 wing that comes with the cup aero kit, right now its angled for high downforce but i want the element to sit flush with the rest of the wing. is it jsut a matter of unbolting and rebolting to the position i like or do i have to buy different brackets?
  7. if you're in the market for rubber mats i've gotten great experiences and prices with www.mats.com
  8. thanks for the info! 1. is the 44psi recommended for their 18inch rear? any official reason why no 19s? im guessing its jsut cuz 19s werent really popular back then? 2. i was hoping they'd be bbs LMs, but they're not, check the rivets around the edge, bbs LMs have 1 rivet for each spoke. too many rivets on my rims. 3.good idea on calling the dealer! im gonna have to ring up my local dealer.
  9. whats up fellas, after years of my dad egging me on to get a 911 (not functional enough for me), he gave up and got one for himself! he picked up a 1999 c2 with 31k, 1 owner. absolutely pristine condition we bought it through a car dealer, and are trying to get in contact with the previous owners since he's not too car savvy i thought i'd do some research and make sure the car is properly taken care of. i have a few questions 1. the rear tire is a steamroller like 305-25-19, tire rack doesnt even stock that size! what psi should i be pumping it to? 2. any idea what kind of wheels those are? they're 19s all around 3. at 31k, im wondering if the 30k service was done before being sold. the maintenance book says oil changes were done at 2k, and 5k miles, but no maintenance after that, based on the condition of the car i doubt maintenance was ignored. but is there any way i can tell its been done? thanks fellas, hope to become a regular member here on behalf of my pops oh btw i own a volvo s40 t5 awd, not that exciting but it gets the job done =P
