  1. Assuming I am reading it correctly, "The Porsche Book" by Boschen & Barth (1977) shows the 1968 (listed as starting in 1967) 911 models with 11835xxx numbers as non-US (normal) Karman-built coupes. The 3280692 engine number is shown as a US 901/14 engine. The only 1968-model T-engines shown have numbers of the form 208xxxx. The T-chassis had serial numbers 11820xxx (Coupes), 11825xxx (K-coupes), and 11870xxx (Targas). Mel
  2. I would like to find an electronic fuel injection system for pre-1984 911 engines. I have a 3.0L SC engine in a '76 911 with a with a Bosch K-jetronic CIS system and a 2.4L 914-6 with Zenith carburetors, both of which have rough-running problems. I know about the Bitz Racing system. Are there others? Mel
  3. My similar problem with an SC engine in a '76 911S was caused by a weak, tired, old 0.8hp Bosch starter. I solved it by cleaning all the battery and ground connections and replacing the starter with a rebuilt 1.5hp Bosch starter from eBay. Mel
