  1. if you have the one with the hex screw then it's on the front of the shifter. lift up the leather all the way up until you see it.
  2. jv: Any more progress on the broken bolt removal? If your space is limited, you might want to try using a right angle drill to drill a hole in the center of the broken studs before using the e-z outs. Also, could you post a link to the page on the ebsracing.com website that lists the bolts? Or does one have to order the bolts on the phone with them? Regards, Maurice. They don't have the bolts on their website but once I get them this week, I will post the part number for it. And yes, it needs to be phoned in to order. I will be working on it this weekend. Bought the easy out, bought a mini torch(if the PB does not do its job). Hope it works..
  3. one is still protruding..but the other two are broken flush with the engine...no engine removal...the car sits on a jack so not a lot of room to work with...was going to work on it this weekend but I couldn't do the work due to other things I had to do..so, my fun car is just sitting in my garage right now blocking my fun yamaha R6...
  4. Got mine replaced about two months ago. Didn't go with the dealership just went to the local glass in town. Cost: 380.00 including labor. Then again, my Boxster is old that's why it cost less. They have aftermarket and I know it cost less than that. Since, you'll never know what's going to happen in the future and the same incident may happen, my opinion is go with aftermarket. But if you have an extra money to spend on OEM windshield, then I'd go OEM. Hi, I have an old Boxster with a broken windshield and the price they are asking is ~700$. Where did you do it for 380$??? Thanks any local glass company can do it....
  5. yes, one is below and two are still sticking out
  6. thanks..I just broke another one :cursing: there's two more left and I'm pretty sure they'll break as well...this sucks!!! do you know how much they'll charge for a bolt removal?
  7. Ok, need some good advice out there on how to remove these bolts that have broken off...these bolts are the ones that are holding the headers in place. Broke one this morning :cursing: and another one this afternoon... :cursing: ...expecting to break one more... :help: ..I was already expecting since my car is over 10 years old...I ordered new bolts from EBS racing(about $2.00 each) and a new set of gaskets...but now, I still have three bolts that I have not removed yet...I soaked it with PB, so I'm going to try again tomorrow to remove these stubborn bolts...I know some of you guys out there had dealt with this type of situation before...thanks in advance!!
  8. also, it's one way to feel like you own a lambo.. :D just like the honda with lambo doors...
  9. ok, I soaked the bolts with PB and left it for two days. Now, one of the bolt broke. How do I remove this? EZ out? or just take it to Midas and have them remove it after I install the headers. Any ideas? thanks!
  10. never mind..that was 3 years ago..just didn't pay attention to the date...I was just searching for headers coz I am replacing mine this weekend..
  11. I wouldn't do it...I'd rather spend the money on other things..like beers and stuff...lol..just kidding...but yeah, a friend of mine had his changed and it doesn't look right on porsches...just spend the money on other upgrades...but then again, it's a matter of taste...if you like it, then who cares what other people say...
  12. I think no one has suggested because no one has a supercharger in their car..or at least tried to install it themselves. Contact the TPC from Maryland at tpc website. This site is usually good if someone has already came across with issues....good luck man!
  13. So, I just bought a brand new set of headers. From the write up, I don't have to remove the exhaust??? Just wondering..Thnaks
  14. yes, but the old one was off as well so I had to change its position when I installed the new one. but now it was over to the right. I did however removed and re-install an hour ago and now it is much better but still a little off.. :( ...thanks for the response!
  15. anyone knows how to align the steering wheel? I just replaced my 4 spoke to a 3 spoke wheel. And not sure why it kept on pulling to the right..any suggestions?? thanks. By the way, I got the steering wheel from one of the members here...Great deal!! A very nice upgrade!!! Thanks Eric!!!
  16. you can do this by removing the driver side wiper and adjusting the passenger side's wiper arm and center it. You can get a longer wiper blade to cover the driver side and partially the passenger side if you need to use it...did this on my other car, which is a track car...
  17. must be the brake dust cover. I had the same issue when I replaced my brake pads. It's hitting the rotors making the noise. Remove your wheel, bend the brake dust making sure you have a good clearance...make sure that when installingyou wheel back that you follow the correct procedure in installing it.
  18. jv: That is very likely the problem, and easy enough to eliminate. Disconnect the negative cable and then pull that small 15 amp fuse from the alarm module. No reprogramming necessary. Regards, Maurice. Thanks, I'll try it tonight...
  19. yep! I know what you mean...the first thing in mind is $$$$$$ and lots of them to give away to the dealership...made a mistake buying an oil filter and 10 quarts of oils with them two weeks ago...never again..I thought I was going to spend $$$ again just to replace the fuse. I wonder how much would they charge just to replace them. hhhmmmm. Two years ago, they did an oil change and it took them 3 hours to complete. I paid $215.00.
  20. when replacing the fuse on the alram module, 15A, is it required to get reprogrammed again? or just disconnect the negative cable on the battery? Just wondering because my alarm no longer works. I replaced the key's battery and still doesn't work. I'm just wondering if it's the fuse on actual alarm box located under the driver's seat. Thanks
  21. Sam, I found the two blown fuses. I replaced them and my windows worked!!! I just bought the fuse kit with a tester and tested every single one. Thanks
  22. I don't have the fuse cover...probably do what you did and go through every fuse until I find the bad one :( ...that's how I learned fixing the issues with my Boxster..and of course with the help fo the Renntech.org forum :renntech: , it made it easier for me to find and fix the problem...thanks
  23. can you take a picture showing the location of the fuse? thanks!
  24. dealing with the same issue. Window does not roll down or up, unable to pull the hood and rear trunk, seems its stuck...not really sure what's causing it...I'm taking it to the dealership next week. I remember disconnecting the negative battery cable when I remove the passenger air bag. anyone knows how to fix this problem? thanks
