  1. THere is a local shop in Pasadena, I will check with them and get back to you. Thank you, B.G.
  2. Just back from dropping off the OBDII... misfire, fuel system, compression, catalyst, evap. system, sec. air, 02 sensor,H02 sensor all show PASS NO CODES RETURNED. I ran I/M Monitor= PASS NO CODES RETURNED. I also ran the READ CODES = PASS NO CODES RETURNED. Each time it went through a reading cycle before it came back with pass no codes returned.
  3. I drove it to the state-line Nevada and back...also smelling rubber on the passenger side. I do not race or abuse the vehicle. Of the 53k mi. I may have put 10k. I just started it this morning to keep the battery charged. The sound is not a howl so it occurs intermittently and constantly. The window switch was not working correctly until I drove the vehicle for awhile but it did correct itself, the PSM light also seems to correct itself. I also disconnected the battery for 30 minutes to hopefully correct the tracking issue to no avail.
  4. Hello Loren, I have a 2001 996 that I rarely drive (55,000 miles). The battery finally died. After charging the battery and driving, I hear the wheels on the passenger side grabbing and making a chirp sound. I jacked up the passenger side so that both wheels were in the air...I turned the back tire and the front tire did not move. I repeated the procedure on the driver side, this time the front tire on the driver side moved. I'm also getting a message on the screen saying take the car to a tech station immediately. The PSM light is also lumminating. Is it as simple as re-programming the computer?
