I replaced my rear tail / break lights with LED version from superbrightled 'dot' com.
Intensity is pretty good.
With the indicators you need to consider the reduced load may impact the flash timing / even fail it all togeather.
There are incandescent reaplcements with a silver colour that flash orange to give you the full clear effect too. Philips Silver visions I think.
Let us know how you get on.

@0586slb
Don't thing there are any engine access panels in the car. When I saw it in the workshop they were doing the work from under the car with the rear bumper removed.
@Loren
They took the rear bumper (fender?) off & I was able to watch the PSE values opening & closing - guess that implies all has been connected up (correct?). Also pointed out the vacum resovoir & braided pipes.
water pump? alternator? pulley bearing? - could be - all this brand new (part of the engine replacement) - Any ideas how I could try & narrow it down.
Thanks

Just got my 03 996 C2 Coupe back from the dealer. I've ended up with a new engine (M96/036 ...) following the collapse of the intermediate shaft bearing a couple of weekends ago. Car has covered < 12k miles.
Two things don't quite 'sound' the same ...
1. The 'Sports' exhaust note has nothing like the impact it did (dealer & I have verified the values are opening / closing when the switch is activated). This appeared to happen at the same time as the shaft failure although the dealer cannot figure why the two events would be connected. Exhaust system has not been replaced.
2. There's what sounds like a belt whine - much more intrusive than before. Dealer subsequently replaced the belt but no change. (could conceed I hear this more due to problem number 1)
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Dealer has been very helpful but appears to have run out of ideas !!

Oil / fluid leak .. can you help me identify this part
in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)

Thanks for all the help.
Turns out once under the car both tensioners were leaking (1,3,5 was very bad).
Seals, rings replaced (while engine 'pinned'). All looks running good.
Thanks again.
