Unless you are running more than 30 minutes at a time I think the OEM pads will be fine. If you are going all out or have runs over 30minutes you can go Pagid - if you go with race pads you will likely want to change back to street pads after events. The squeaking might drive you (and your neighbors crazy otherwise).

Thanks for the info. In NASA they limit time to 15-20 mins per run. I have seen one 30min but not in my classification. I will stick with OEM for now. Mostly street use and I dont want to deal with the squeaking.

Thanks Loren!! BTW, Do you have a recommendation for Replacement Pads? I have had the car out for a few NASA HPDE events. I will try to continue with that once or twice a year. Otherwise it is on the road ~10k a year. Should I go to the trouble of a set for track and a set for street or is there a suitable middle ground. I have had no issues at the track with the stock Porsche pads.

Same procedure as bleeding your brake system w/ the exception that you remove/replace your brake hoses. I would suggest you check for leaks when your finished (duh).

They look good and are probably more 'stress resistant' but in everything I've read they offer no improvement regarding braking performance.

Thanks for the reply. Disappointing to hear no improvement. I understood they offered better pedel pressure when brakes were hot at track events. We will see. NASA-SE event in two weeks. Still fun to work on the car.

Hello Fellow RennTech members

I am planning to replace my stock brake lines with the Goodrich SS lines. I have searched but have not found any DIY info on this other than bleeding the brakes. Are there any Gotchas to be aware of when removing the the brake lines and replacing with new? I have the brake bleeding tools and am comfortable with that process. I have seen the fantastic DIY on the bleeding process on this site so I feel like this should not be a big job but after reading some of the info there have been warnings of ABS resets and such that have me concerned. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all. I am in the process of adding the Escort 9500ci to my MY06 C2S Cab and want to make use of the mute function. khnitz was kind enough to post a picture of the pin outs of the plug on the rear of the PCM and Loren confirmed A3 is the pin. I would like to connect the 9500ci to A3 to enable the 9500ci to mute the radio upon an alert. I have searched but can not find a part number for the pins to insert into the empty hole in the "A" connector. The "A" connector has several AMP/TYCO numbers 928524-1 as well as a VW/Audi number 357 035 447. Can anyone tell me a part number and/or source for these pins?

As usual right after I post the question I found the answer on a Audi audio site http://www.nsxjr.com/Audipins.html. The part is N90684405. There are two additional parts that already have a short wire pre-crimped listed as "Repair kits" 000979133 for 1mm wire and 000979225 for 2.5mm wire. The repair kits are stocked by both local VW and Audi dealers but no luck at the local Porsche dealer.
