  1. is it true i have to remove the AOS to reach the sensor?? is there a easier way to get there??? i have a lift available if it makes it any easier.
  2. so i reset the codes and took it for a drive. five min later the CEL came on again, reading only P0343. Where should i begin?
  3. I looked at the DIY for the information on these but im more interested in the solutions. and if they are a DIY..... P0343 , P0650 , P1128 , P1130 thank you.
  4. Thank you for taking the time and looking into that web site, i didnt even have the brains to do that for my own freaking car :) car runs at normal temp and seems to be fine with that coolant. but i will def do a flush when the new expansion will arrive and go to a Porsche recommended
  5. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...10247&st=40 there you go .... this should help
  6. do a search for 350z or HID , this will bring you the answer. i know the 350z conversion kit was discussed before
  7. So about a month ago my expansion tank got cracked. i was not aware of the jello risk and i used "Pride1000" coolant i used Is this going to create the jello and if so, what are the risks attached to the jello. and how can i fix the jello?? Thank you
  8. Why is it so bad to mix coolants?? i did not know this is an issue and went and filled with some "Pride" product. I have to re-fill here and there until my expansion arrives , its on back order.
  9. my sounds sounds more like the door panel is not as tight as it could be......but that might come from the door latch, im not sure
  10. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=18982 try this one
  11. This noise is coming from behind my left shoulder. when road is bumpy cracked it will make this horribly annoying sound. kind of like something is a bit loose but not enough to be a problem...i wonder if this is common and fixable?
  12. why does it need to be 'rock solid'? if your car is not overheating and is within a 'normal' range, why worry about it? ;) no specific reason other than understanding why at some cases its solid and at other its not. but i dont think im going to persue this.....
  13. some have it 24/7 some have it fluctuate ..... what does it take to make it rock solid??? my air passages are clear and coolant is at normal level. does the coolant brand have any to do with it ??? or perhaps just to update the thermostat??
  14. Just wanted to make sure my running temp is normal. It usually will start a steady straight up very close to the 180 mark and after 40 min of driving will shift to where it is on the image and at time will go back and maybe a bit warmer than shown. also , it seems to take longer to warm up, can some people share their warm up time based on a 70 degrees out side temp with normal driving.
  15. i would start with re checking all connectors to make sure power goes through
  16. So on my way to work i was able to pin point exactly how this happens. from stop , i start driving with medium acceleration , the car shifts to third , i will then press the gas harder and the car will not respond to that , almost if it actually slows down rather than go faster.
  17. 00 boxster 2.7 58k tiptronic. Note: new spark plugs , new air filter , new AOS. This doesn't happen all the time but does happen occasionally. I would press the gas paddle mid way expecting the car to just go, but instead I'm getting nothing, it doesn't choke or hesitates it just goes at a very low accelaration rate , it noticably happens when on low speed (around 28-30) and gear indicator shows 4th gear. I would expect the trans to drop the dear and go but it doesn't.... I'm not sure if its me being too gentle on the paddle or some other issue. :renntech:
  18. In my 00 boxster , after a long drive i get a rubber like clunk noise from the front right wheel area , but only when i turn my steering wheel, after inspections of the area it seems to be the Front Shock top Absorber Mount.
  19. 2000 boxster 2.7 auto tip 57k When i drive the car (after it reaches normal running temp) in city driving i noticed the car shifts from 4th to 5th at exactly 37 mph and the same from 5th to 4th. which gives it a smooth up shift and down shift. but when im on the highway and i slow down from 70 quite harshly the car down shifts at around 45mph and the car revs up due to the down shift and slows down faster..... my question is , is this normal???
  20. p.s if any one wants to have this for future reference. Remove and replace of AOS and cleaning of throttle body cost me 311$
  21. Did you make sure it doesnt make this sound when the car is in park?? it could be a lot of things unless you know exactly where its coming from.
  22. Update: Oil Separator was replaced over the weekend. and throttle body cleaned. the bottom pipe ( that accordion looking pipe) did not brake during removal of AOS and was not replaced The good news - the noise is gone. The bad news - The car still smokes a bit at start up.......i picked it up today and thought it will go away after i drive it for a few minutes and yes the smoke went away , but a few hours later when i took it for an other drive it smoked at start up once again, What else could cause this?? 2000 boxter 2.7 57k
  23. Hello Guys, I bought my 00 used, and since i got it the remote key did not work. I replaced the battery , but that didnt do the trick. What else should i check to fix this??
