Hi,
I just clean the throttle bodyfor my 01 996 tt, after that my car has a high RPM when idle, 1200RPM when A/C on, about 1500RPM when A/C off. Do you know what's the problem? Bad TB? Leak in the system? Thanks in advance.

Hi, Loren
I tried to drive my car, but the car just stalls a lot, can not even drive. It also came with check engine light and ABS light. I had read the codes, one is p0102, the other one is 5525, I have searched the code 5525 is caused by the Mass Air Flow sensor, when I disconnect the MAF sensor, my car just runs fine, should I just change the MAF sensor or it's the ECU's problem? I am using K&N filter now. Thanks.

Thx, I will try.

It's a 2001 996 turbo, what should I do now?
-
I stored the car in the garage for about a month, I disconect the battery,
after this, the car stalls once in a while when I drive on city streets or slow down at a corner.
I can immediately restart the car by placing the gar in second gear and engaging the clutch.
The engine runs roughly and sometimes surges unexpectedly.
Anyone knows what's wrong with my car? Thanks.

Could be that the clutch is about gone.
I let a technician check the clutch disc about two month ago, he said the clutch is fine. If I have to drop the gearbox, where can I find the procedures? Thanks.
-
The TT uses are different transmission and clutch from the 996 - so that TSB is not relevant for the TT.
It could be a worn throw out bearing or the clutch disc may be just about gone.
How many miles on the car?
The car has about 40K.

Loren, my 01 996 turbo has a creaking noise in the bell housing, can I follow the 996's TBS "7/00 3041 Creaking Noise in Clutch Bell Housing Area 12-22-2000" to fix the problem? Thanks

I have the same problem too, can someone tell me how to become a Contributing Member? Thanks!
