thanks for the suggestions...
what i ended up doing is took the frame down and then took the soft top off that frame... what an experience... freaking pain in da arse and i am very curious how i'm gonna put it back on... hehe... looks very scary.. tons of glue and doubleside tape... BTW, any of you know where to get that thin double tape? or will just regular double tape from 3M work? (they r about 3 times thicker than what was in there)...

I seen a thread about taking off the soft top so one can take it to the upholstery shop to get plastic rear window replaced but i can't find it anywhere.. been looking for it for an hour now...

however, i managed to break both clamping rail .. lucky me... eh? anyway, any idea what the cost of those is? and where to get them?
