I have just put on the hard top for my 1999 3.4 996 cabriolet and find that it squeaks really badly where it joins the top of the windscreen. I can move it a little at the front edge of the door frame/windscreen which is where I suspect the noise is coming from. Is it possible to somehow tighten the roof to the windscreen. I have tried inserting rubber strips into the locating slots for the roof, but it has not improved it. Any help would be appreciated....thanks

Hi
I had a similar problem on my 996 carrera. I fitted a new stereo and found that there is a live supply to a detector inside the radio housing. Once this was taped up and a new stereo fitted, the problem was cured
