Check the resistance to ground on the left bulb socket - compare it to the right bulb socket.
Chances are there is a short to ground somewhere.

Any smoke?
Could be worn valve guides.
Only on start up from cold and not a lot. After a min or two there is no smoke. That oil use is not normal no?

The headlight bulb on the left hand side keeps blowing. It works for a few weeks then dies. Has anyone heard of this? Any ideas?

My 97 c2s uses a quart to a quart and a half of oil every thousand miles. It has 107k miles with no leaks. I drive 60% in the city and the rest on open roads. I dont drive it very hard. Is this normal?

A 993 holds about 11 (US) quarts.
Hi Loren,
I use Castrol edge 10w 60 in my c2s that was recommended by a few 993 owners. I live in Ireland so the weather is never really extreme either way. Is this oil ok to use?

Hi,
I'm due to change the rear tyres on my 993 c2s. I live in Ireland so it's wet 75% of the time and the roads are very twisty. I've been told by a few people to stick with the pzero rosso's but before I spend €700 I thought I'd ask if there are better tyres available?
