  1. hmmm , this is from the manual above 50F 15w40 10w40 20w50 15w40 15w50 20w40 below 50F 15w40 10w40 10w30 5w30 below 14F 10w30 5w30 i don't see any 0w40 5w50 . Any help with that ? or maybe the manual is outdated ??

Thanks Just found the cd with the manual and looks like they overfill the engine by almost 3/4 liter .(i ran the car for 20 min , then park in garage and waited 5 min ) I will go to them change the oil to 0/40 and fill only with 8 cans for now . :renntech: ps To Loren I have 53000 miles on this car . 2002 cabrio 911 996 3.6 non turbo . What will be the best choice of oil ????? Thank You always for your input.
  3. what is the proper procedure to check the oil level ? thank you :renntech: ps Just did my oil change at jiffy lube and they put mobile 1 5w-30 into the engine . I am in troubles ?????
  4. when i check the oil level what should i trust ? The dip stick or the oil sensor that is giving me the data on my dash (10 bars)?

  10. cooland level is normal , but i will check for oil in cooland .
  11. there are no bad codes , now this engine runs fine . I have no idea what is it ?
  12. Ok . We add only a one quart of oil , removed the pipes and started the motor again . Looks like everything is fine now . It was burning the oil only in right head. Any idea ? . Coolant did not leak .
  13. I took the car for a ride this morning and while I was doing about 65 I started to see white smoke in a rear of my car . I pulled over , stoped the engine . There was a huge white cloud of smoke coming out left muffler . I checked the oil and it was almost empty . The oil gauge was reading only 1.5 . The engine still starts so is not blown but any idea what it may be ???? ps. after i tow the car i got back to my garage i noticed a few oil spots on the concrete.   15. well i also have the 05 cayenne s and when press the psm button it goes like a rocket . Just looking for some modes .
  16. Thanks Loren for your help. :cheers: I just order a new switch from pelican parts ---113$ and 6$ for the relay . ps. My 911 is with auto trany, but is there a way so can change the way that my trany shifts . The way it works now it starts from 2nd gear and it goes very quickly to higher gears . It is good for mpg`s but not to sporty . I can use the tiptronic but i don't want to . Also I don't have the psm button . any ideas ? Looks like you know the stuff.
  17. and yes they turned on. So looks like i have a bad head light switch .
  18. i am reading only 5.6 volt at fuse 9 and 10 .
