I found out yesterday that my brake lights are not coming on. It seems there must be a short in the system and more than likely is source of the warning light. Any ideas on why my brake lights would not be working?

General Warning light recently comes on intermittently. I don’t see any legitimate reason for it to be on (low fuel, e-brake, etc). I reset it with the reset switch and it goes off but will re-light again intermittent times.
What will cause the general warning light to light and how can I find out why it came on?

Has any one done any upgrades on there 993 such as intake or chip upgrades. I have been looking at the products from Powerhuas which seem to give a nice boost in power.
Has any one installed them or have any thoughts on these type of upgrades?

You can also just remove the spoiler control unit under the dash on the passenger side. This is how the factory dealt with the turbo and RS cars that did not have the retractable spoiler.
I had to purchase a spoiler control unit for my 95 C2 because the previous owner removed it. They go for about $150 used. So you can sell yours and recoup some of the money you spent on the spoiler.

Thanks that will help.

I am looking for the factory Maintenance Checklists for the 45k service on a 1995 911. Does anyone have access to them or a copy of them?

So it turned out that the switch under the brake pedal that actuates the brake lights was not working. I pulled it out cleaned up the connections and it has been working ever since!
