  1. Hello I was going to change my stock exhaust tips off 08 Boxster-S for the newer RS-60 style. It looks pretty straight forward but has anyone done this and are there any catches or tricks to know about? Thanks
  2. Try checking cost on "minor" maintenance on say a Ferrari! But he is partly right If you see what they do and divide their time into it I would bet it is way higher than their usual "labor rate". That is how I would do it with them. I would see what the interval involves and just ask them to do them ala carte at their usual labor rate and see if it comes out cheaper. If car is under warranty better to let the dealer do it. I aggre though I think the guys were just trying to be funny take it for what it is.
  3. Thanks I think I will just get the tips Don't like the loud sounds anyway.
  4. Was wondering if anyone has asked this or had experience. I am in gradual process of upgrading my 08 Boxster-S and was interested in the RS-60 exhaust. I know it is similar to PSE but has true twin outlet apparently. Just like it a little better than PSE looks wise. Thanks
  5. FYI for anyone else. I found a good video on B&B website on how to remove. Very easy. Just do it in right order like on video.
  6. Going to get a cat back system for my 2008 Boxster -S for better sound and get rid of extra (unnecessary imho) cats. Looks very simple to me just at first glance I won't be touching manifolds or O2 sensors. Any little things to watch for and tricks to removal Thanks for everyone's advice.. Love this site!
  7. Thanks so much I will do it this weekend and take pix when done!
  8. Cool, I see the trim piece but how do you take the top cover off?
  9. Has anyone ever removed the top cover over the gauges to make a regular boxster look like the rs-60? Does it leave holes that need plugged? I really liked that look. I almost bought the rs-60 except for the ones in CO were all the Carrera red interior and that was a deal killer for my wife.
  10. well thats why I check here, obviously there is alot of experience with XPEL I will try it. Thanks!
  11. Well FYI I spoke with my clear bra guy about doing this myself and he said the clear bra yellows real bad on the Bi-Xenon lights but I did the lower running lights!
  12. Just a question, is it recommended (or not) to place the clear bra material on the new bi-xenon headlights? Thanks
  13. Sorry I am new to this.. car is a 2008 brand new. And it does not list in 2008 manual anyway I did download the manual you spoke and I can see how to do it now thanks!!!
  14. Uhh sorry guys but a stupid question. I bought my first Boxster-S and was thmubing thru manual and no where in there says HOW to get to the motor for air filter etc. I like to switch my filter to BMC living up at altitude for more air. Thanks in advance. PS tried the search function but did nto seem to find an article past or present sorry.
  15. ust cut it with wire cutters. It looks like a one way expansion plug made of hard plastic
  16. Hi new to this forum, just got an 08 Boxster-s 3.4L. Does this have the same "snorkel". Doe sit work better than just adding a free flowing BMC filter or better for both? Will it make my dealer "mad" if I take it out? Thanks
