  1. hi i have a 2008 Carrera 997 and am interested in installing LEDS in my plate.... i did one side worked fine... Put in the other side and they flick on then off.. I know i need a resistor.. as it did the same thing in my c350.. now the question is do the wires that run for the tag lights run thru the rear carpet inside the engine compartment, or do i have to drop the bumper to get to them? if the bumper has to be dropped is there a diy for it? yes i searched, and found the front bumper removal.. any help appreciated.. thanks

  2. No other fuse block that I know of, the retaining clip that holds the electrical connector in the fender that engages with the headlamp assembly can break and cause a poor contact.

hi guys i figured it out.. thanks.. it was the electrical connector in the fender... it kept moving  took 8 hours to figure out.. but at least its fixed.. thanks again

  3. hi guys my wife has a 2005 boxster, and for some reason her drivers headlight is out... i replaced the bulbs and its still out... i tried checking for power and there is no power... the pass side works... im thinking maybe a fuse, but i checked all the fuses on the drivers side panel and they are all fine... are there any other fuse boxes in the car... please help its getting dark and i have been trying to figure this out for hours..thanks

  4. You might like to read what I found when installing a HID kit to my 987, while I am not sure that the electircal in your car is exactly the same (and you didn't mention US or Canadian (DRL's)) there could be some issues.

A search will bring back a whole lot of other threads on the subject as well.

i did a search and i did come across your article actually. mine is us spec no drls... i would think that my install should be similar to yours, but i am worried about electrical, thats why i asked about a 997.. however your article was quite helpful... as i do mine i will be posting here also to help others..

  5. :welcome:

Did you look at page 246 of your owners manual?

If you don't have one you can download it here

hi thanks for the welcome... <_< <_< no i didnt get a manual now that you mention it... gotta see whats up with that

ok i got it... now has anyone installed aftermarket hids in this car with out a problem... i am planning on doing 4300k heads and fogs.. i know it should be a straight forward install but will it draw out any computer readings?
