  1. Hey mike thanks for the info...basically what i am fist trying to achieve is making my stock exhaust louder..mainly i wanted to put straight pipes in, which would be an easy job for any other car, but nope never an easy job for a porsche...so im trying to figure out what my alternatives are in increasing my exhaust sound without paying an arm and a leg for an aftermarket exhaust...

  2. oh sorry resinator...ok so i was looking at the ebay headers you are talking aboit on ebay that run about 80 bucks so i will need that, what is the nhp midpipes ? can you link me to that? i have de-snorkled also but i had K&N filters are not good for the boxsters ? thanks sergiu and cloudsurfer for your help, i can be a little difficult sometimes lol... u guys are great :) btw sergiu how much more power do u feel with a 3.6 in ur boxster?

  3. hey guys i took my 03 boxster non S to several muffler shops to try and take out the resignators and have straight pipes put in to make the noise of the exhaust louder. Every muffler shop i went to were not sure if i had 4 cat converters or 2 cats and 2 resignators, and if they are 2 resignators and they take it out they are worried that the check engine light will be on without the resignators. My question is is it 4 cats or 2 cats and 2 resignators ? are the resignators removeable? will the check engine light come on if i remove the resignators? will the exhaust get louder if i remove the resignatos? Thanks guys!

  4. I have a boxster 986 with the cdr-23 radio system non bose. When i got into my car today and i turned on the radio i got no sound all i got is a loud buzz out of the speakers. I tried the cd am/fm everything but i get no sound just that annoying sound. I installed the rear speaker kit couple months back and never had a problem. Can anyone please help or know what the problem might be that causes this ? Thank you for all your help.

  5. hahah probably! but if it works ill take it, it was free to me anyway :)

  7. West, was there any offset difference between the boxster 18" and the Cayman 18"s?

    [

Both styles of 18" wheels (Boxster S and Cayman S) have the same offset: 57mm front and 43mm rear

Hey when i had the 17's on their the front was definantly lower the car looked even now with the 18's the front is a bit higher then the rear i feel like im riding a lowride...and by the way my boxster is NOT a type S, i think that makes a difference...Does anyone here want to trade my 265/40-18 for 265/35-18 and fronts 235/40-18 for 225/35-18 i believe. tires are brand new only used for 3 weeks...let me know please...discount tires wanted to rip me off to trade my tires for different sized ones...

  8. msediqi are U satisfied with the look???,,,

just my thought, I think U should sell the whole package & get something prettier.

let me know how much credit U gonna get from D/C tire, might be interested in those.

The one thing i love about these wheels is the black finish, i think thats an amazing touch, are you interested in the tires or the whole package ? My appointment is D/C tire is tomorrow at 10am so i will let you know, and the credit is only for the tires because im just trying to lower the tire size, if i can trade these for some different porsche rims that will look better on my car im willing to trade if you have anything to offer or just sell them to u. Were you interested in just the tires or both the tires and the rims?
