  1. thanks for all of your guys imputs but i still havent got to solving out what the problem is , i disconnected the switch and started the car and the headlights are still on , my lights are oem hid and my ignition seems ok , it turns freely without getting jammed. The day time running light feature kinda makes sense , but why would it just turn that funtion on , and how do you turn that off . I thought and i can be wrong if you disconnect the switch you turn off the power going to lights rendering them not to turn on , can i possibly have a short somewhere ?

  2. hey guys i have a 01 996 turbo and when i start the car the headlights /brake lights all turn on and i can not trun them off when the car is running when i shut off the car the lights turn off , also when i start the car the headlights turn but the guage light wont turn on unless i turn the headlight switch to the on position . what can be this problem ?

    thanks

  3. alex and james did some work on my 996 turbo , the flash is a must !!!!!! big difference from stock and i just ordered the gt2 clutch conversion from them this week these guys are very good at what they do i will continue to do work with them , alex also said the same thing you dont get much hp from the intake and it does make the maf go bad but they have a hitachi maf conversion that they do and its much more reliable , give them a call

  4. so im getting a ecu flash this month im thinking about going to sharkwerks in fremont to have them flash my 01 996 turbo any pros or cons of the evolution motorsport flash ? i hear its program is pretty good

  5. i figured it out for some reason the speedo wire to the radio wasnt working correctly ? i dont know why but i tapped into the speedo wire behind the instrument wire and now everything works so for anyone looking for the speedo wire it is pin 13 , blue plug

    thank you

  6. Well, unless something else got disconnected you may now have a bad cluster.

Did you remove the cluster to install the radio? If you did perhaps one of the locking connectors is not all the way in and locked down.

yeah thats the first thing i checked i was hoping that was the problem but it wasnt all the connections were tight , but when i was checking voltage with my fluke meter some of the wires were reading battery voltage and some wires were not reading at all ? all fuses looks fine too .

  7. Hmm... sounds like you connected the gray/pink wire to the wrong place.

i followed the the diagram that u sent or someone sent me i forgot , i know i screwed up somewhere ? is there a wire that sends volatge up to the speedometer ? maybe my speedo just went bad ??? how can i check this ?

    thanks for your help

Does everything else on the cluster work?

Digital speed and analog speed (needle) are both out?

everything i think works except the speed and odometer

    Speedometer signal wire is gray/pink.
