The magnetic bearing info regarding the ABS is correct.
Did you have bearings replaced previously?
-
-
What temp did you have set on the control panel?
-
Change your T pieces if your turbo.
-
Sounds like battery, if no faults codes are evident.
Hope your enjoying those smooth gear changes post TCM and valve body replacement.

Thanks Mike,
The magnet is still in the plastic bit that you screw on, and the car "knows" the hose is connected (Red warning on the dash board).
So the reed switch must be working.
I guess they must have disconnected something when they put the compressor in a bit further down the chain perhaps...
I'll just have to crawl under this weekend and have a look.
Thanks
DS
Any resolution to this defect?
-
Erase it, and see if it comes back.

The tailgate switches feed into the rear comfort systems control unit.
This unit may be faulty or more likely just needs a reset.
Pulling and resetting the applicable 5 amp fuse (fuse #53 under the left dashboard panel, check your owners manual under the fuses section for clarification) or disconecting the battery for a few minutes may indeed fix your issues.

I have an 06 S with 90k on it the service light is on. I have a durametric and can reset it - any significant maintainence that I should look at doing? It's running great - replaced coils and plugs at 80 and regularly do the oil/filters....Thanks
Thanks!
How's the serpentine drive belt looking?

rear convenience control box ? where is it?
Here is more details of the symptoms:
when it is closed (I'm sure it is closed properly), no warning.
when I start to drive and pass some bumpy roads, it beeps and gives the warning
when I stop and re-accelerate > 3km/h, it beeps again
any advice is appreciated !
Just to clarify,
1. When you say lid, are you referring to the rear glass lid or the whole rear tailgate door?
2. When the beeps sound, is the glass lid still fully closed?
A common fault was the glass lid would unlatch by itself after going over bumps.

You have to remove the large circuit board to reveal the switch underneath.
There are about 5 screws to remove to release the board.
You also have to remove the remote garage opener module which is located near the board and unplug some connections.
It's all quite basic once you remove the circuit board.

DME is located under the engine hood, extreme right hand side, under the removable grill just down from the windscreen lower edge, near the brake fluid reservoir.
TIptronic module is under the right hand seat.
Battery disconnection is recommended.
-
1314 code relates to DME, 1315 code relates to Tiptronic Control Module.
Sounds like these units are not communicating with each other through the CAN bus.
Before spending any money or trying to reprogram, I suggest you physically disconnect, inspect, clean and reconnect the electrical connectors on the DME control and also the Tiptronic Control Module.
After this go ahead and clear messages then try to reprogram.
Good Luck.

Had to remove the 2 fuel pump relays to turn the car off as it won't do it with the key since it thinks it is in D.
The engine should turn off even in drive, you need to cycle the ignition switch to off for 2 cycles.

Good sense in replaceing all the hardware items as suggested by Sunset ie. caliper mounting bolts and spring / hardware.
Rotors usually need to be changed every second pad replacement cycle.
-
It's the one on the dash.
The sensor on the back of the mirror is used for the mirror auto dimming function.
-
Height adjustment when stopped can happen for minor height corrections, this is normal, but any large changes would be suspect.
As a side note, If you run the Cayenne extensively at a height level different to the height setting that was used when your wheel alignment was carried out, you will get more camber wear issues on your tyres.
-
Best solution I found is to just flick the transmission down a gear using the tiptronic switch on the steering wheel when coming out of a corner or entering the freeway.
No lag and instant boost.
Try it.

The door trim panel has to come off the door. The ashtray then can be removed from the door panel.

Hi Guys.. I have the same prob. air compressor has failed and valve distribution assembly needs replacing apparently.
What symptoms do you have to show the compressor has failed and valve block is faulty?

Since you are getting the M via the steering wheel switches, I would be looking into the shifter housing and checking out the sensor actuators / hall effect sensors to see if they are intact as wvicary also suggests.

Does the instrument display show the "M" symbol when the shifter is selected into the M gate?

Don't go driving the Cayenne turbo, it will only make your decision just that little bit harder.
Driving with my suspension in the low setting around town
in 9PA, 9PA1 (Cayenne, Cayenne S, Cayenne Turbo, Cayenne Turbo S)

No free lunch.
You should drive mostly at the suspension height that your wheel alignment was carried out at.
Any deviation from this setting would expose your wheels to a different camber which would lead to abnormal tyre wear, especially after prolonged periods of driving.
