  1. I have the same problem with a 2003 model S. Downshifting from 5th to 4th shudders 70-80% of the time.

    I took it in to a Porsche place to try a gearbox oil change first. I just picked it up and its skipping gears all over the place!

    He said could be air bleeding out of the system, and to try it over the weekend. If this doesn't fix the problem

    we will have to change valve assembly if he can buy it here in the UK.

    Anyone have any insight into this huge problem?

    I love this forum!

    Was just test driving it again and when I came to a complete stop, it down shifted to Neutral and

    the engine light came on! The display that shows the gears now is a constant D.

    Oh this is going to drive me crazy!

  2. Ok, I seem to have fixed my heating problem.

    Joshmoney was right! I layed upside down in the passenger

    foot well, underneath the glove box is a plastic protective cover which

    is held in by 1 torx screw, if you remove that screw, the whole plate needs

    a pull down to unclip, you then have a view of all the servo motors that

    control the AC. They are blue in colour. As I raised and lowered the heat I

    could see one having difficulty opening....it just rocked back and forth. I placed

    my hand in and helped it open.....and VOILA! Heat on the left side.

    Now after fiddling with it for a while it operates correctly on its own, no idea

    but the AC control is great.....If anyone ever needs any clarification just msg me...

    I will try and post some pics of the servo motors too.

  3. That sounds awesome Josh! Thanks for your reply.

    Porsche in the UK have advised me that the AC Control Unit in the dash

    will cost me 218GBP or in $440. Its not a great price, but if I definitely know that

    its the problem I don't mind paying that. I will look for description on taking apart the dash and

    trying the servos out. I really appreciate the reply.

    I took out the controller, but had no idea where to look for the servo that moves?

    Any help of exactly where it is and how i would get to it! Thanks

  4. Thanks for your reply Loren. I don't mean to sound stupid, but how can I find out which model mine is in that code?

    The Porsche dealer has typed in 9PA as the model.....but where did he get that from? Also 9PA doesn't match any model listing in the column.....its confusing. Can I tell from my VIN the model or do I have to look elsewhere to find which part.

    I know its one of the 03 parts.....

    The wreckers yard could only get me the VIN off the vehicle its coming off.

    When I spoke to Porsche they sent me the diagram via e-mail to choose which one my

    AC Controller looks like. Part #955.653.103.03

    I know its the one in diagram one but I need to know which one the wrecker has as well.

    I am so confused!!! **** Porsche!!!

  6. Josh did you find out what was causing that problem?

    I have exactly the same problem where I am not getting

    any heat on the passenger side.

    I've got my entire dash tore apart trying to figure out what is causing the driver side to blow cold air, while the passenger side is blowing air like its comeing directly from outside. I thought it was a solenoid went out, but after testing 4 of them, I'm getting frustrated. Anyone have any ideas? Could it be the air controller going out on me? I'm doing it myself because I'm out of warranty on my 04 s. I only have 2 zone climate control
  7. I just joined the forum as i bought a 2003 Cayenne S for a very reasonable price.

    Its been going well in the last few months until i cranked up the heat today.....

    the driver side was warm and adjusting temperature changes, but the passenger side,

    was blowing very cold air, no change with dial. I just can't believe half the car heats up

    and the other side blows freezing air. :cursing:

    Has anyone seen this before? Any help would be appreciated.
