I had the same problem with my last cayenne (04 s) - it wasn't the fuel pump but this rubber tube that had to be replaced...I posted about it a while back and someone replied with the part number and directions on how to fix it

I was driving my truck today (08 GTS - Manual) and the oil light came on. I drove it straight home and the dipstick showed that there was a little bit of oil and the second time we pulled it out it was pretty dry. The truck drives fine and there are no funny sounds. I've had it for about a month. Should I get it checked out? Could there have been any damage?

I dropped a card in between my driver's seat and the center storage - I moved the seat all the way up to retrieve the card and now the seat won't move! Any idea what this could be?
Thanks!

Awesome! Thanks so much!!

It happened again today after I filled gas so I'll take it back to the shop this week - Do you have the instructions posted somewhere on the forum? Why does it only happen after I fill gas?
Thanks!
-
Thanks!
I went to the shop today and they found a EVAP fault but they couldn't determine what kind it was because it was so sporadic (or something like that). They told me to just drive it and see if it happens again. I'll go fill gas again on the weekend and see what happens.

Yes - there is a CEL - sorry, forgot to mention that. I'll have the codes read tomorrow
Thanks!

I've filled gas about 4 times in the last month and two of those times I've had trouble starting my 04 Cayenne S after I fill the gas. It sputters a bit and sounds really weak and starts after 3 - 4 trys...any idea what this could mean? Thanks!
-
I'm pretty sure that when the fault shows up it also means you will have to change the sensors (fairly inexpensive)

Both of these lights came on during my drive today...I've never used the four wheel drive system and the light didn't come on after...what could this mean? I've made an appointment with the dealership for early next week.
Are Cayenne's known for throwing out random lights/ faults every now and then?
2004 Cayenne S - 75,000 km
Thank you
-
Okay thanks. Is this something that should be done ASAP? I believe this code came up a year ago on a diagnostic but hasn't triggered the CEL until now
Thanks so much!
And are those big jobs?

Here is the paper I got from the shop with the fault code
-
It's a 2004 Cayenne S :) (V8)
-
I'm not really sure...it was done at the shop. Would a scan of the actual reading help?
-
hmmmm, that's exactly what the fault paper says - that number followed by the description (Oil pressure switch 1 transmission. Short to ground or positive)
-
Thanks!
So now the check engine light shows up the same time as the wierd D (and disappears once the display goes back to normal - after a few drives).
The diagnostic showed the following codes:
17225
Oil pressure switch 1 transmission
Short to ground or positive
P0700
Transmission Control System
(MIL Request)
Any idea what this means?
Thank you!
-
Haha no - I was asking about the D (the section that cycles through your gears, P, N, R) - it usually does that for me, but every so often turns into a solid square with a D in it

I had aftermarket xenon's put in my Cayenne S (04) about 6 months ago and today the headlight, high beam and signal on the left side stopped working...do all of the bulbs usually go at the same time or does this sound like a voltage issue?
-
Hello, I'm new to the forum and have a few questions about my 04 Cayenne S:
1 - Is it normal that the car only starts on D1 when I first start it up, and every other time I drive it it just goes from D2 to D6
2 - The car seemed to be driving wierd and I had diagnostics run on it and a camshaft sensor and transmission oil temperature sensor showed up - does anyone know what this means?
3 - How do you know if your vehicle is running on limp mode and how does this affect it?
4 - My radio randomly turns off and stays off for a few trips and then randomly comes back on...any ideas?
Thank you!

What torque is required for lug nuts on a 2008 porsche cayenne gts? Thanks!
