  1. Thanks guys! i already found out with VIN the corect navi for my car, that was no problem. I understand, my mistake  So i can try to find one in the winter time on ebay because i also don´t drive with my carrera in the next 2-3 month. If not i have also go to the dealer. stealthTT: Do you have piwis and done it by yourself, i do not have piwis and have to go to the dealer, a friend have the pst2 but it doesn´t work with my car. For example if i buy one on ebay, do you think i will get trouble at the dealer when my car is on the piwis, they see it´s for example not legal and i waste my money?? / because it´s not a secret that many units in german ebay aren´t legal. You explaned that the serials are stored in the pcm, if i understood right you mean also the serials of the dvd unit i will get are stored in the pcm, because both are conected. I think it´s better to buy a new one at the dealer? Whats your thinking?
  2. There are 10 different part no. for the same DVD navi, anyone know if they all fit my car or not? I think that´s all only because of the serial no. and every navi will fit my car or am i wrong?
  3. Hello, my car is build 11/2005, mj 2006 no guarantee for this Problem, i had checked 3 discs and it doesn´t work any. The dvd navi is the problem, i´m sure, also discs doesn´t came quickly out as usual :o
  4. Hello Guys, i´m new to the Forum, i´m from Germany and here´s my first question :) My DVD Navigation doesn´t work any more, not the Pcm 2.1 unit, only the DVD Navi upper the cd changer doesn´t work (no navigation disk reading) My car is a 2006 Carrera S 997 I wants to buy a new one from ebay, but in the porsche parts katalogue are more than 10 different part numbers for this little navi. Anybody know why? i thought all dvd navis are the same?? My Question also, if i buy from ebay, is it possible to read with piwis the serial no of this dvd navi, if it´s not legal?? Any technical guys here who could help me.
