Own a 2000 Carrera C-4 with Tiptronic transmission. My battery started to go dead. When I tried to start the car, the starter turned over but no go. Put a 2 amp trickle sharge on the battery overnight and when I started the car the next morning, I noticed that the Tiptronic redlight at "D" continues to flash. When the car is actually driven, and the trans starts to shift, the light goes out. Any thoughts? Is this a problem or something that should be expected? Can I somehow "turn-off" the redlight or reset something?
Thanks,
Rick

Thnaks Phillip;
I'll give it a try---any other thoughts on what might be the cause of the CEL with code P1128?

Can someone help me? What is the preferred procedure for locating, removing, cleaning and replacing the maf sensor for a 2000 Porsche Carrera C4---996?
My check engine light (OBD code P1128) keeps coming on and I have been told that this procedure may help to clear it and keep it off!
Thanks for the benfit of a reply!!

What did they do to reset the codes? I had a low battery issue and virtually the same thing has happened to me!
