Problem solved,

Indeed the relay was faulty, someone changed the relay(former owner??) and put in a wrong one(other type- and not OEM).

If the car is a ROW Belgium type, look in the relay holder, under the dash above the fuse holder, check the relays for proper fitting or malfunctioning. You can "feel" the relay clicking if you hold your hand on it while the indicator is activated. A lot of Belgian cars have also a tracing system ( cj 2 ) or a anti carjack system ( cj 1 ) installed ( mandatory on omnium theft insurance ) which are also a source of problems after the years and they are connected to the indicators as well.

I can feel only one click at relay nr3 when I press the hazard switch

Hi, tryed for several min. turning the key slightly, but it all seems ferm and solid to me. It's verry odd, yesterday as I changed the hazard switch, I forgot to pusch it in. When I came in the garage half an our later the cars hazard lights worked. I tryed the indicators and they also worked fine for a few seconds :-(

You could do a pin out test following the wiring diagram but if your not familiar with such things they can get confusing very quickly. Might be best to take it into a known good indie. You're not having any other electrical problems are you? A failing ignition switch can cause odd problems, try to turn the key slightly back and forth to see if the system faults.

No problems, the car runs perfectly, just the indicators.

Will try ign switch.

If it not the hazard switch then the signal switch itself has failed.

I bought my '99 Boxter a few months ago, now the direction indicators seems to go life theyr own live. Most of the time they don't function sometimes they do.

I have to drive 50 km to the nearest Porsche dealer, so I called, and he said the hazard switch was probably broken, wich I changed without result.

When you push the "hazard" switch you can hear a "click" under the dashb.

By opening or closing the doors (+alarm) they work fine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
