Thx TP.
Wel I added the the dash spoiler switch and like it the OEM way...
And I broke the TC socket ;-)
Also did the Rear bumper/spoiler 03-04 retofit, Air vent retrofit, 03-04 PSE (full install), Interior trims painted and some other stuff, I will post pics soon.
My box is the way I wanted to be now!

Hi,
I'm currently in the process of installing my PSE. The wiring is almost done but the location of the vacuum tank and switch over valve in the engine bay still puzzles me. The TSB isnt really a great help, can't see anything. Anybody who could provide me with a close-up photo of the tank installed on the holder?

can I order this at my porsche dealer or do I have to order this at VW?
another question for Richard, last time you told me about bridge plugs 1/4" wide (for my PSE remember?)
DO you have a P/N for this?
-
Hello,
I need to add a wire to this plug but I need the correct pin.
I assume this can be ordered appart but can't find it in my PET pdf.
thank you
-
yes it fits i lookedin the PET, and since rear fender is the same for both models....
-
ok so if you can't I won't either!
-
I just read the installation manual of the short shifter, isn't there a possibility to install it without damaging the stock bushings?
thanks
-
so who is right now?
BTW, I'm talking about a 986
Does someone have a picture maybe?
-
these are custom painted console and can't see the interior of the armrest.
-
Since I have never seen an OEM painted center console in real life, I was wondering if the inside of the armrest box was also painted?
If some one as a picture....
thanks
-
so no marking on the standard bumper I guess?
-
I'm think this is for the pre 03 model, not sure it's the same for the post 03
-
TP, I just looked in the partcatalog and there is a different bumper M635 option (PDC)
For the -03 also.
In which section did you looked in the boxster shop manual?
-
Hi TP,
Is this the case for a bumper without the PDC option?
thx
-
Hello,
Is this a direct fit?
Can I buy these new design side duct and just put them on the car whitout any modification?
thanks
-
I'm planning to retrofit the PDC system but I would like to know the positon of the OEM sensors.
so if someone has the PDC on a boxster could you please measure the distance between the 2 center sensors en between the 2 right or left sensors. Also the distance between the sensors and the lower line of the bumper, so I know where to drill my holes.
thanks
-
Richard I didn't saw your answer so It should be correct.
In fact I'm planning some mod and I need an special glue that will be strong enough to attach a piece made of PA6 to the bumper
If someone has an idea...
thx
-
AFAIK,
Generically it is a type of polyurathane, commonly used in most late model cars. Porsche may use a specific formula... might be tough to find out exactly the composition though.
According to someone at porsche he looked at a bumper and it said: <PP+EPDM P20>
PP could be but EPDM is a sort rubber so I'm not sure about the PP either!
What do you guys think about PP?
To be honest I was more think of PU like you!
-
could someone tell me wat material a OEM bumper cover is?
It should be written inside but can't find anything!
thank you
-
Hello,
I would like to retrofit the PDC but I haven't seen it yet I would like to see some pictures of the installed sensors of the facelift model.
Because I'm affraid those sensors are quite big and ugly.
thank you

I just looked again in hte part catalog, it seems to be true that the 550 has the987 filter, but they don't list the 987 airbox for the 550, I guess they forgot it, because you can't fit a 987 filer in 986 airbox!
So the best way to find ou is a real picture I guess
I'm interested too, I think it should fit my non s
Part number of this Tequipment exhaust tip?
