I've done it with a couple of screwdrivers - be careful to not scratch the paint.

Door - Insert a narrow screwdriver from above in front of the clip arrow A, press the fastening lug in direction of arrow B and hold, and carefully pull off the filler flap 1 upwards.

Hinge - Insert the removal tool at the locking lugs on the left and right and lift via the locking lugs, remove the plastic hinge 2 in direction of arrow from the filler flap 1.

Do I need a special tool remove or install the fuel door hinge? If so, where can I buy one?

Hi Guys,

It was the Mass Air Flow Sensor! The car did show any indication that it was going bad and so when it did it put the car in safe mode and was giving the engine more fuel than it needed. Due to lack of time I had the dealer fix and now I'm back on the road.

Hi All,

This is related to an earlier question but when I hit the rev limiter the PSM light came on and has stayed on. I've tried to turn it off with the dash switch but with no success. Is there a way to reset this light?

Hi All,

Just took my 2001 996 Cab for a little ride after not driving it for a month. As I was passing a truck on the freeway I bumped the rev limiter and all of a sudden the PSM light came on. Then as I rolled off the offramp the car kept dying every time the engine speed settled back to idle. I was able to make it back home by continually restarting the car when it died. As I approached the house the "Check Engine" light came on. Anyone have some insight on my situation? Will it reset itself?

I am buying a 2001 C2 Cabriolet from a friend but he only has one key. I've called a few dealers and all want approx. $200 for the key/remote and an additional $100 to program the remote. Does anyone know if there is a cheaper resource to duplicate keys?
