Fixed!
Thanks Cassie, I swapped actual bulbs and voila, I had low beams.
Went out and bought some bulbs and put them in.
The strange thing is that the driver's side bulb looks fine(the one I was actually/initially testing), so that threw me from the get go.
I'll remember the swap method in the future!
thanks for everyone's help.

Okay, just swapped the fuses, same thing.
I did notice that my side marker lights are not working either... maybe a clue?
I'll try swapping the bulbs.
Thanks!

Replaced the headlight switch, still a no go. Any other ideas?
thanks!

Hi Loren,
Thanks!
I'll look up headlight switch!
If it is just the headlights then you either have a blown fuses or a bad headlight switch. -
Hello,
From what I found online, here and pbb, I replaced my ignition switch, but my headlights still don't work.
Background:
Started my car, switched on my headlights, came on for a brief moment, then they went off.
Jiggled the ignition key, to see if they came on at all, nothing.
Checked fuses, A slots 3 and 4, fuses okay, are the fuses that I'm checking even the correct ones?
Checked the bulbs, they are okay.
Changed the ignition switch, same issue.
My high beams and fog lights work...
Now I'm at a loss.
Any insight?
Thanks!

sweet, great directions, thank you!

Thanks again, did it yesterday, 3 bars instead of barely 1, strange...
Had some issues with the arm and the wiper motor arms(scraping), but a little bending and it's all okay now.
cheers!
There is a hole on the arm that I put a small locknut and bolt through and attached one of these:and then I bent it so the far end was level (I may have bent it before mounting). The antenna is magnetic and stuck right to it, no other mounting was necessary.
It's now been there for months, and I haven't touched it, works flawlessly! I get great reception that is better than my other vehicle that came with sirius from the factory.
-
Then noise are the control arms, check fleabay, for some aftermarket ones.
-
great, thanks!
-
Thanks for this...
Question:
How did you mount the low profile antenna to the mounting arm?
Did you use the tape that is on the antenna?
-
Hey CJ, how are the arms holding up. Also, March has come and gone, and DelubozParts doesn't have them up for sale yet. Any ideas?
-
Great write up!
Question:
Why didn't you go for the higher/10,000k ones?
Whiter/bluer light, right?
-
looks good to me
Thanks Toolpants

I've heard from a couple people that have installed the PNP speakers.
They add a surround sound type listening environment to your current setup. Nothing amazing, just speakers behind you.
Great quality.
I guess you could upgrade the actual speakers, but bottom line, 5/14 speakers are still just 5/14 speakers. I tried to purchase the BEST 5/14 speakers, and they sound okay. (this is in my gf's car)
There just insn't any space for a decent, great sounding speaker box/system.
I've had fantastic sounding stereos, but always had the room to add whatever I needed. No so in this case, I'm happy listening to the engine and having the wind in my hair and sun on my shoulders.

Extra Feature? = High Beams?
For those who installed Litronic headlights (not factory installed), is it worth to connect all the wires to get the extra feature? or just plug and play and be happy about it? -
Itrip works great!
-
YES, YES and YES!
OMG, what a difference!

We need more interest!
Come on guys, I'll bring Doughnuts and Beer!
-
Nobody is interested? Hmmmm....
Depressing...

I need to change my front brake pads.

Use a magic marker to color the threads, no one will be the wiser...
yes this is exactly what i'm looking for!don't you have a part number for this?
Is this an original Porsche part? It looks like the seams are white instead of black on the OEM? or am I wrong?

Need assistance finding a shop...
in 986 Series (Boxster, Boxster S)
Posted
Hey people,
I tried searching but can't find a mechanic shop in Virgina that somewhat specializes in RMS repair for the Boxster.
I remember they were located somewhere in southern Va, any assistance would be appreciated.
TIA
