I've been using a dish wash soap to clean the area good for the double side tape application.

And wax the area after the installation.

Mine doesn't clunk, doesn't clunk usually mean the synchro going out on auto tranny?

Does it also clunk even after warm up or just in the morning?

When I changed coil as preventative measure, all 8 had hairline cracks.

Lastly removing the silver plastic cover on passenger side is challenging. Be patient or you'll scratch the (plastic) cover.

I wonder why these coils tend to crack like that,,, recently had 40k miles maintenance service and dealer found 2-3 of coils had a hairline cracks on them, replaced under warranty. I've owned numerous brand cars and never had a problem with crack coils...

I've heard you can prevent the silver plastic cover getting scratched by laying down the towel while removing 'em.

i was able to purchase the rubber blade part and installed on the OEM housing for less than $20, i just can NOT believe a cayenne owner who owns Porsche can't afford to buy his own fawking wiper blades.

I've been using this extractor (similar) one for my BMW, as someone already mentioned, the oil filter is under the hood, so I never had to go underneath my BMW.

Anyways, I haven't yet had a chance to use the extrator to change the engine oil on my pepper yet, I had a really good deal from the local shop that I couldn't pass :)

doesn't even turn on the headlights, should be able to turn them on via turning on the parking lights.

wow, that's interesting,,, i've never seen a car that required a steering wheel to be removed and remounted in order to make the steering wheel straight. :0

Bought a brand new blank key w/ fob from sunset porsche few months ago, still haven't stopped by local P-dealer to get it cut & programed.

I was quoted with 1/2 hour labor and labor to cut the blank key.

Is it same for 06 CS?

I looked through my manuals and quickly found my Nav DVD and went to insert into the Nav DVD deck under the passenger seat. I tried to insert the DVD but the unit will not accept it, almost as if the power was off.

Just outta curiosity, did you make sure there is no DVD disk already inside of the unit? (although I have a feeling that you probably have done this already)

The idea is to have an additional master key, that's a brand new remote & cut key.

I hope my dealer can cut it accurately, of course, hopefully I don't have to pay for the fee unless it works. :)

So,,, I wanted to have another master key for my Cayenne and ordered the key from Sunset Imports.

The parts adviser informed me that it would be more accurate to have the dealer to cut the key via using my existing key than ordering one using the VIN#.

I stopped by my local p-dealer but they informed me other way around, it would work better to order one using the VIN# than cutting it using my existing key.

I'm pretty sure there must be someone out there who has purchase additional master key for their Cayenne, could you please share your experiences?

Did you actually feel your breaks were working/stopping you or just a noise?

In case just a noise issue, could it be a little larger than normal piece of rock got in between rotor & pads? This has happened before on my bimmer...

Yes, V8 Cayenne S has plenty power for myself.

The only thing I like about Turbo is the front bumper :) I'm planning to do swap my front bumper someday *if and only if* I locate the same color turbo bumper (which doesn't need to get involved with the bodyshop painting.) :D

If I were you, I would keep S for now and move on to 2009 or 2010 GTS after few years.
