  1. Thanks Loren. The best deal I can find is from Home Depot, $149.00 with free shipping, can't beat that.
  2. My 04 CTT has the option code IJ0Z "520A(110ah) battery". is it a group 48 or 49? thanks.
  3. the part number for the fluid used in the rear limited-slip diff is 00004330037 can i use the same fluid in the front diff w/o an lsd?
  4. found two candidates as below. any other good choices? ;) Torin Aluminum/Steel Race Jack, 2 1/2-Ton, Model# T84025 Rapid Pump® 4000 Lb. Capacity Lightweight Low Profile Aluminum Racing Jack
  5. thanks for all the input ;) i had no luck of finding those at any of the local stores probably just order a set online like these: triple square set
  6. wanted to check the battery, but couldn't find anything useful in my tool box to remove the bolts. guess i need to buy a new tool... also in the owners manual, it calls for new bolts and 37ftlb torque to install, while in the service manual, 33ftlb is needed and no new bolts are required.
  7. does it have to be porsche approved? ;) or i can add any generic stuff available at auto parts stores?
  8. Thanks for the reply. I assume you work for a Porsche dealer based on your response. If so, or even if not, I was wondering if you could give me any advice on what I should be looking for in a Cayenne that has 68k miles on it. I've read through the forum and found the common issues like cracked ignition coils, plastic coolant pipes cracking, and drive train issues (?). Is 68k miles even "a lot" of miles for a 2005 Cayenne? Obviously it depends on how the car was treated, what type of miles it has on it, etc. But, 68k miles just doesn't seem like a lot to me regardless. I should mention the car was CPOed by Porsche 2 years and 30k miles ago. Thanks again, Jason no, i don't work for a dealer. that was what i got last time when i visited the local porsche dealer. obviously they increased the price. i was quoted for $900 for the same service in 2009. the general maintenance work is pricey if you get it done at a dealer the only issues i had so far was a loose worn head light connector. a dealer usually charges you a few hundred bucks to get a new head light unit in this case. now i am having a brake booster related issue which could be caused by a dying battery. we'll see.
  9. found related info ^_^ PWS fluid CHF 7.1: Audi/Volkswagen (1984-1989) BMW (1987-9/1991) Volvo (1995-1998) CHF11S: Audi (1990-2006) TL52 146.00 BMW (9/1991 on); all beginning with model E32 Chrysler Crossfire 05127381AA Dodge Sprinter (all years) Mercedes-Benz (staggered S-class models from 1996 on) Mini (2002 on) Nissan (1994 on) Porsche (1995 on) Rolls Royce Saab 900 coupe (95 on); 900/9000 (97-98); 9-5 (98 on) Volkswagen (1990-2006) TL52 146.00 Volvo (3/1998 on) CHF202: Audi (2006 on) TL52 146.01 Porsche Cayenne (2005 on) Saab (2006 on) Volkswagen (2006 on) TL52 146.01 Volvo (2002 on)
  10. The Pentosin CHF 202 container states that it is fully compatible with the CHF 11S, but is not compatible with the older CHF 7......... Thank you. Can I assume that the older CHF 7 was never used in Cayennes?
  11. $1100 here at stevens creek porsche, $700~$900 at some indies. most items are easy to DIY, even the spark plugs job is doable.
  12. it happened again today. :( do i need some special tools to check the vacuum pump and hoses?
  13. I'm pretty much sure that the old fluid is "Pentosin CHF 11 S" which is superseded by the new "PENTOSIN CHF 202". I need to add some fluid to the steering system. Is it safe to mix them? Thanks.
  14. bought a used remote + uncut blade off ebay. stealer charged $85 to cut the blade while saying the remote is incompatible with my cayenne and wanted me to buy a new remote :o both the remotes have the same FCC ID: KR55WK45032 CAN: 267 104 187. don't why the new one is incompatible  by the way, the whole new key/remote/reprogramming package from them is $450
  15. My local dealer couldn't find the sealing rings. I guess they are using the same PET program...
  16. Thank you for your input, my friend. Too bad that Durametric doesn't support monitoring the transmission fluid temperature right now. Rumors are V6.0 non-beta software will support it.
  17. It happened again. Got the brake code: P1431 Brake Booster System - Signal Implausible (The brake system is working just fine at the same time) Got another code in electrical system simultaneously: Fault code 0907 Load management operation on vehicle electrical system/ DME control module Possible causes of fault ♦ 'no display' Loads are/were switched off temporarily. The load management operation was enabled because of undervoltage. Also noticed that this usually happens when the car has a few back to back short trips in one day. All these above makes me wonder if I need to get a new battery for my cayenne (80k on the clock)...
  18. Greg, Don't beat yourself up on because of that. I just added it after you asked the question. :P I will talk to my local dealer first to see if they have anything in stock. If no luck I will contact Sunset Imports. :renntech:
  19. just used durametric to reset the reminder successfully :renntech:
