  1. I know. These guys fouled up on a few things prior to this. I just brought the car back cause I bought the car at this particular dealer. Question for you...Is the clutch spring this diagram? And would the tech have to take off the entire clutch pedal to replace. Thanks!
  2. Hey Loren. I just spoke with the service manger. He told me the clutch and brake pedal are not on the same axle shaft. Somehow I don't believe him (or any dealers). Nevertheless, he said bring it in tomorrow morning
  3. Thank you so much. I really didn't want to go back to this dealer, but I guess I have to. Again, Thanks!
  4. I had my car in for service to fix a squeaky clutch pedal (replaced spring). When I got the car back the brake pedal seems to be sticking. I'm not sure if the brake pedal has begun sticking or I'm imagining this because of the new feel of the clutch pedal. Anyone else feel a slight stiffness in rebound of the brake pedal after depressing. If so how do you solve this problem. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
  5. I had it checked out. Problem solved.
  6. Thats what I thought. I reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery and its been running strong. No check engine light. Thanks a lot for the reply Loren!
  7. No one has any idea or input at all?
  8. Car is running very good. Could it be a faulty check engine light?
  9. Had my check engine light checked out. It came out as: catalyst efficiency below threshold, bank #2. Any ideas what's wrong? Thanks.
  10. Is there a check engine code for no gas cap? I drove about 15 seconds before I realize I didnt put the cap on. Next day I realize I have a check engine light. Havent check the code yet, just curious if this may be it. By the way, I did a search on this..still standing by for the results.
  11. Yes, it is a US car. It is two prongs(i guess), similar to item 27 in the above diagram ,it enables the bracket to snap into the front bumper. It for the plastic* bracket, not the metal H form bracket in the diagram above. Is the metal one a new type bracket?
  12. Hi, the two prongs that screw in the back of the front license plate bracket and also snaps into the front bumper, is this sold separately as a part or with the entire license plate bracket as a package? By the way, if any one has these prongs or front plate bracket and don't need or want(since many don't use the front plate). I would glady take it of your hands. :D
  13. Hi guys. I know someone who was selling a a 6 speed aluminum 986S/996 colored crest as shown for $170. I would of purchase it, but the day before I order a brand new one from Suncoast for $335 before he contacted me. I just chose to keep the new one(it was actually a gift for me). If anyone is looking for one, I can ask the guy if its still available.
  14. Do you have a pic of the actual filter (inside the airbox)? This change, definitely aids in the 987 sounds (maybe power as well).
  15. I don't think it has. If you want to use a K&N just measure the dimensions of the EVO filter and the flange. Match those measurements with a K&N and it should work fine. The B&M are very good quality and clean much easier then the stock EVO. The BMC have wide selection of different filters as well and from what I remember the BMC dimensions match with the EVO better.
  16. Cease, is your car equipped with the standard or sport shocks? Thanks.
  17. Thanks for your input. The oil level is within the correct range now. I just wanted to be sure I didn't damage anything.
  18. Let me add this..I recently added Chevron Techron before fueling as well. When I did this before, the same residue appeared on the engine oil spout as a result. I usually change the oil right after this.
  19. Hey guys, I found the answer to the inside engine oil level gauge. In the process of researching I came upon the some info on "oil foaming". I did see a tad bit of foam around the spout where you pour in the oil. I'm kind of nervous now, along with driving my car with the gauge above the maximum level. Should I be nervous or concern? The car always drives beautifully, but recently I did hear some screechy sounds on cold start up(whcih I posted a thread on). I know for sure it had something to do with the oil now. Is my engine domed now?? I hope everything is ok, the car still drives great . Any input would be very appreciated. Thanks.
  20. One more question. The engine oil level gauge inside the car has minimum and maximum marks. When topping the oil off, should that very last bar at the top of the gauge be filled? My inside gauge usually reads solid to the top of the gauge , but the manual say don't go over that maximum line(leaving that last bar above the maximum level clear)? Hope I expalin this right. Thanks
  21. Hey guys. I was reading over the oil change diagram that I found on renntech and it says to change oil change at operating temp. Would that be 180? I drove the car for maybe 5mins(I dont think it got up to 180) then had the oil changed. Would it make a difference at all? What is the reason for changing at operating temp. Kind of of a dumb question, but just want to be sure.
  22. I've seen dyno results of at least 6hp increase with the EVO intake on a stock Boxster and others on PPBB have at least seen 6-7HP increase. Did you use a fan to stimulate cool air flow into the intake?? Along with the hot conditions you tested under it could make a significant difference.
