  1. Since you are selling the homemade bi-mufflers, did you put back the OEM muffler??. If so are you going to dyno it?
  2. Thanks a lot! I see this thread is for a 996. Would a T-20 Security Torx be used for the 986/S MAF as well?? I just wanna be sure. Again, thanks!
  3. I had the tool from the EVO intake kit, but lost it. They want $15 bucks for a simple small wrench. I have a wrench kit that has a similar pattern as the wrench supplied with the EVO kit, but it doesn't work. Any input appreciated. Thanks.
  4. Just went I start it, no turning of the wheel. It only does it when the engine is cold.
  5. It only does it for the first start up of the day. I'm not sure if it because of the cold weather, but it is pretty loud. After the car is warm up, it no longer makes the noise. Anyone have any ideas what this might be? Thanks.
  6. The part for the 986/S EVO kit is TW80-140.
  7. I should say really every 6 months I keep it pretty clean.
  8. I clean mine every 6-8 months. I have a BMC twin conical filter as well. Better quality and easier to clean than the filter that comes with the EVO kit. Its not really concealed from the outside. If you look closely in the air intake you can see the filter. If you don't clean it regularly you will lose horsepower, just like any other filter that gets too dirty.
  9. And no check engine lights in over 2 1/2 yrs on my "S". The filter just has to be maintain properly.
  10. I spoke with EVO. They said they will have an intake out for the 987/S in two months. Should sound relatively the same. It is the same engine. And yes the EVO sound is awesome, I have one.
  11. Thanks guys appreciate all the input. And ToolPants, I think i'll pass on the spud shift..lol
  12. Thanks for the info ToolPants. I actually saw this pic of Danny's car somewhere on the internet, I think you posted it on Rennlist. Therefore, I knew it was possible. Danny thanks for your input as well. How did you actually do the grinding of the inside of the shift knob? Was it fairly simple? I think I want to go this route. I may go back to stock one day, or need to when selling the car.
  13. Thanks. I figured I would have to grind it. Any suggestions on how to grind (if I decide to do so)? Again, thanks, I appreciate the reply.
  14. Hi, this is my first post. I've been a browser mostly, but I must say, great site for "how to". I have a few questions on a MOMO shift knob. Will it work with a horseshoe boot? Can it fasten to a B&M short shift? And lastly, is it possible to use a MOMO shift boot as well. If anyone has experience, pics or any input with a MOMO shift knob or boot in a Boxster or Porsche it would be highly appreciated. I attached a link to some MOMO shift knobs/boots/installation instructions as well. Thanks. MOMO shift knobs
