  1. Well I actually have a pretty bad steering wheel shake in my car too at 70-75 mph, but mine happens all the time with the roof up or down.

I have done a lot of reasearch and have had loads of people look at my car and none of them can see anything wrong.

The only thing some told me on the fourm, was that the guy who owed the car before me had it sitting around for a while before I bought it, and this could have let the tyre get "out of round". To be fair to me they look fine, but I dont really know what to look for. I have had all the wheels balanced too and this made no difference!!!!

Luckily, (I say) my tyres need to all be replaced now anyway, and I shall be doing this next week, so we'll see how I get on.

However going back to you, If the car has been parked up for quite some time then this could the answer?!?!?!?!

Not sure if it is any help, but just seems funny how I experincing the same symptons!!!!!

  2. Hi

Can anyone give me advice on the tyre to put on to a boxster!!!

I need to change all four of mine and have a choice of four.

The michelin Pilot sports - although are the best are also too expensive for me,

The Pirellis P Zero Rosso - again although great tyre alot of people say they only last 4-5K miles, and I have these on the car currently and am not really to impressed witht the wear!!!!

The Continental Sports Contact N2 - I am considering these but do not know too much about them. How well do they wear??? whats the road handling like???? whats road noise like???

And finally The Bridgestone S-O2 N2 - Again I know nothing about these tyres. I know they are a "good" make of tyre and are used in F1, and They are also the cheapest by quite a margin. so I am now also considering these but I need the same kinda info as the conti's!!!!!

    PLEASE HELP!!!!!

  3. Oh top man, them instructions sound great.

I will give it a go tomorrow. Just a quick question tho, when you say the ac unit is only held in by 2 of the 4 screws, and you only need these 2 screws to hold it in to the bottom, I cant find where they would go.

I actually have from top to bottom in this order - a/c vents, A/c unit, CD player, cassette tape holder, cubby hole, and finally the bat wings.

I was hoping to change it too, a/c vents, double din sat nav, a/c Unit, cubby hole, and then the batwings

I can take out the cassette holder very easily (this is where I want the A/C Unit) but I can not see anywhere to put the 2 screws in that you mention. I may be being stupid, but I didn't wanna go taking the car apart until I knew how it was going to go together again.
